Going in, I had no idea who would win, so I expected it to be much closer than it was. Round 2's match between Paulina and Molly will probably be a convincing win for Paulina… but who knows, I've been surprised before!

My spin: Anne V. advanced pretty easily over Janelle, as the qualifier had a pretty respectable run through to the Main Draw. In the other match, the covergirl Carolyn won a closer match against Patricia and her great butt. In Round 2, Anne V. and Carolyn figures to be a very close match. I can't predict an outcome!

My spin: The qualifier Angela made a good match of it against our #6 seed, but Yamila was too tough and advanced to Round 2, where she'll face Eva. Yvonne's loss marks the second for the Sylvander twins, but she had a really respectable showing against a bonafide supermodel.

My spin: These were two close matches throughout! Julie becomes the 5th seeded model to fall, and Kim continues her impressive run all the way through the a difficult couple of matches in the Qualifying Draw and now another toughie here in the Main Draw. In the other match, it was virtually even the whole way, but just enough people went with Ingrid to propel her into Round 2. The Round 2 match between Kim and Ingrid should be very interesting to observe.

My spin: Wow. The Slovakian qualifier, Lucia, pulled off the upset of the tournament so far, bouncing out a bonafide supermodel and our #11 seed. Carol now has the unwanted distinction of being the highest seeded model to be knocked out in the first round. In the other match, Melissa prevailed easily, as expected. That sets up a wide open Round 2 match, where it's quite possible Lucia's run through the tournament can continue.
