^I love all the references & the dialogue between the characters which I think makes Archer great.

I love Jessica Walter's ability to play dry bitchy characters.

She was also on Arrested Development, right?

Her character kinda does look like her

Better Call Saul is still on that list for me  I've been told it's been getting really good.

The first season was ok (not bad but could have been better) but the second season was excellent---kinda made up for the first season  The opening for the 8th episode of the 2nd season was great. It was shot with a single camera and the music added to the mood. I couldn't find the video so you will have to watch it when you start the series  This scene from the 7th episode of season 2 was pretty cool too with the inflatable man:

This is the most memorable scene of the 2nd season:

Both videos are blocked in my country  ...

Because I want to read the book first. Which isn't even ready yet and I have no idea when it'll be published  So I may reconsider my decision... I don't now.

So I'm having the hardest time avoiding spoilers (even though in the last season it deviated so much from the books that it may not even be spoilers at this point).

Yeah a pal of mine doesn't watch GoT b/c it deviates significantly from the book

I haven't watched it yet b/c it doesn't appeal to me but a lot of people are recommending the show so I will probably cave in soon

The Sopranos, Daredevil, The Wire, and Freaks & Greeks are on my list too. I've only seen Arrested Development, Extras, and FNL (first season) on your list.

Do you watch Silicon Valley? I love Silicon Valley and can't believe BZ doesn't have a thread for it.

I may too with this season, since it will probably be almost impossible to escape the spoilers near the end of it. We'll see

It has deviated quite a lot indeed, specially the last season (this doesn't count because there's no official source material); the first 2 were much more similar to the books.

But I recommend you to watch it!  And more than that, to read the books. They're MUCH better.

Yes!  It is a great show. I am only on season 2 so I am still catching up

Yeah BZ doesn't have threads for a lot of great shows   I guess most members aren't really TV people. Feel to start a thread for SV if you like

All I know is there was a lot of chatter about the whether Jon Snow (?) is really dead

I am not much a novel person but I might give GoT a try...maybe
