Np Storm I always think all these models are about average height for models, until I see them next to eachother.

Just me being random... but these Red Lobster commercials are killing me right now. They certainly know how to advertise, Everytime they have a new festival/ promotion on TV I'm hooked. I'm already plotting in my head when and who are I'm going to go with.

I haven't been to Red Lobster in a long time.  What is your favorite thing there?   The last thing I had there was one of their mixed flatters with various crustaceans.

With seafood in general, I love Japanese breaded seafood plus their sauces... they bread things better than anyone else.

Oh dear, I meant...what male actors and models.

Oh, I love height talk........... Hailey looks really tall, easily around 6'.  Personally, I liked her HF look better, and felt that it suited her more- her weight gain kind of..aged her ten years.  5'11'' is a very...boilerplate height.  Karlie was listed as 5'11'' which is silly.  I find that it's more often used to cap a model's height rather than raise it.  Speaking of another very tall model:  Julia Stegner is one, as is Flavia Oliveria.

Yea, I can see that way with Hailey vs Karlie.  Karlie's figure is for modeling gowns and big dresses.

Rose is short!  Definitely- I can't see her getting too much work outside of SI.  Sara Samp/Ashley are a bit taller, yes.

As far as figures go, Daniella S. had a great one.  Really well balanced  :

Candice is odd.  She and Elsa have next to no mass, but they have very ideally curved bone structure so she can model lingerie even with an A cup.  From my perspective, although both are beautiful women, their lack of body mass takes away from their attractiveness..it's as if their curvy bone structure needs curvy mass as well to look 'correct'.  It would sound like a double standard, but thin, HF dress models like julia stegner look more 'appropriate' to me- their bone structure is just as you say, straight, and straight & sleek doesn't bother me.

Toni seems to be come from a family of norse Gods...her brother is Thor,

I didn't pay attention to Toni until she suddenly appeared in VSFS.  I saw her, and I immediately (and falsely) thought that she was going to be the next supermodel.  I agree, she is actually a little masculine but at the same time womanly...I think it's because her eyes, lips, and expressions are still very feminine.  I find that the most masculine part is  her  great height, but also her strong hairline, which is very similar to that of a male model.  It's not a woman's hairline.   She knows this , and what I feel detracts from her feminine side is how she keeps on doing modeling jobs, or making public appearances with either short hair or hair slicked back like a man:

She's pretty and feminine here in the first photo- it's from the beginning of her career.  But she generally presents herself like the latter and not only that, but with obvious 'tough girl' expressions:

what's a pear/banana/apple shaped body?  I think you are right, most men are more status conscious knuckle-draggers than they would admit... I have no issues seeing and loving a 6' 3'' woman that is half a head taller than me; my chief concern is whether she would see it as an issue...   But beyond that, I can't say.......

I once heard something true and hilarious at a dinner party:  very tall, beautiful men are seen as another species by women entirely, set apart from the rest of mankind.  I guess with women it's 6' 1'' + or bust...:-p  Is that how you feel?

I always say to myself I'll order something new but I always end getting the crab Alfredo. Sometimes I get a lobster tail with it or an appetizer, but no matter what I get my Alfredo.

However this time their seaside trio has me very intrigued! It's your choice of three dishes on the same plate. And in one of the options they have shrimp Alfredo, so I'm not fully decided what my other two dishes will be but best believe shrimp Alfredo will be one of them.

Actually, I have this thing for pasta in general! Every restaurant I go to I always get a pasta entree if they have it... and more specifically I go for pasta with seafood. I just love it too much lol.

How about you? Is there a certain type of food you tend to gravitate towards when you go to a restaurant? Be it. Burger, steak, fish etc etc?

Ah yes, Japanese breading. There's a specific name for it right? (I'm not thinking of Panko) I think there is but its not coming to me right now.

Ah Male actors or models. Well I have zero interest in male models. With female models, I go oh she's pretty id like to look like her or I'll admire her style. But with male models, I don't want to look like them of course and I don't care about their style because I'm not buying male clothes. I don't get crushes on them either.... I'm not into guys who are all about their looks and getting dolled up. The profession of modelling just seems like a feminine thing. I know that's not right of me to say.

Actors, there's no one that I care about, other than Leo, that I would follow them news wise. When it comes to movies I don't really pay attention to what actor or actress is in a movie, and I don't love any of their acting in particular that I would specifically go to see them. Actually when it comes to movies, I think I prefer watching actors that aren't famous because it just makes me believe them in their role more and actually see them as the character. Even when I watch Leo act, I keep seeing Leo.... that's just what happens when your so famous.

And yeah 5'11 is like a default height for agencies. If they can get away with it, they'll list their models at that height even when they aren't. Like you alluded to, 6 footers and over tend to get pushed down to 5'11. But below say 5'10... agencies seem to try to bump up their models height by an inch or two. If a model is listed at 5'8... Chances are she's pretty short because they couldn't get away with bumping her up to 5'9 or 5'10 (5'9 is like the lowest acceptable height, where one is not neccesarily considered short. : p )

I think back in the day they had Kate Moss listed at 5'8.... but she eventually came out in the late nineties stating she was 5'6.

I just wish agencies would be straight up about the height, the whole emphasis on height is kinda ridiculous. Especially when dealing with an inch or two. Anyways, There are great models at a variety of heights. Maybe for runway, but for print work... to me it shouldn't matter as much.

I don't think I've ever heard of this Danielle S before. What's her last name? Yup she has nice proportions, her legs look so long.

She knows this , and what I feel detracts from her feminine side is how she keeps on doing modeling jobs, or making public appearances with either short hair or hair slicked back like a man:

Totally agree, Andy! Her plump, shapely lips and eyes is what gives her whatever softness she has But her other facial features are rather sharp, (cheek bones, nose, chin) which I find a bit masculine. i noticed that the times that I've looked at her and went WOW is when she wears red lipstick and when her hair is loose, past shoulder length and she has noticeable looking eyebrows.

And yes I agree that a lot of her photo shoots tend to look like the second pic you posted. I saw she did GQ, which was a sexy looking shoot. I thought that was pretty out of character of her. I just don't see her being taken seriously as a legit sex symbol... she just doesn't seem the type who gets voted high in Ask Men, Maxim, Esquire lists and the likes. But who cares about that anyway unless you actually want to build your career off of being a sex symbol ala a Kate Upton. Probably, why she has primarily stuck to the work she has done, she's stronger suited for that.

Candice looks decent to me for VS, maybe because I'm used to the VS models having her type build. But I never really envied her body or anything like that. I wouldn't want to be that toned/ muscular, personally. And yeah while she looks normal for VS, I try to envision her doing SI and I think she'll look out of place. I don't think Lily Aldridge suits SI and neither Erin (but to a lesser degree, she looked better then I thought she would. Anyways, it's not like SI is anything to really strive for, unless you want to gain some name recognition (which I don't think works like it used to in the past) or you want to build a career in bikini modelling.

For example back to Kelly Rohrbach, I look at her and she just screams commercial/ bikini modelling. I think she has a great body (that's the type of body that I'd actually want) but her face is not all that to me. What do you think about her face? There's a certain facial feature of her I find odd and distracting, I want to see if you can guess what it is. I think you will.

You sure like them tall.

I wouldn't want a guy shorter than me but I wouldn't want I guy too much taller than me either. For example, I'd want to be able to kiss him properly while we are both standing up. However, if I had to chose between a guy a lot shorter than me or a guy a lot taller than me I'd go go for the taller chap.

In regards to pear, banana and Apple shapes.... A pear shape, proportion wise, is bigger below the waist than she is from the waist up. Hence the name pear, because a pear is smaller on top and gets bigger at the bottom. Apple is vice versa... For example Kate Upton has big breasts and a thicker waist (her waist isn't very defined) however she has skinny looking legs compared to her top part. Hour glass is when the bust and shoulder area is on par with hips. The waist is defined looking. Hence they look like an hour glass. Banana shape, is one who looks relatively straight up and down... another word used for this shape is ruler.

You guys, this is so sad. Such a tragedy. I guess it hits closer to home because I've been to this train station countless times. My Aunt is there twice a day every weekday. Imagine actually witnessing something like this happening to someone.... makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it. I feel for the family and I hope it was a quick thing.

Ah, I see.  That sounds good! I like alfredo.   Sadly, I am lactose intolerant (wish I wasn't )so I generally get the meats and sample whatever she or he is having...I remember liking their biscuits.  If you like pasta so much then you must like Italian   I get noodles when eating Japanese, thai, or asian in particular.   I like Thai noodles and spices a great deal!

When I go to a western restaurant I generally don't get the noodles or salad, but go for the meats.  Steak, particularly Ribeyes or if I'm not that hungry, a smaller choice.., are most often what I get.  Second to that will be BBQ ribs and seafood (fish, crab, shrimp, lobster, etc.).  I usually don't get burgers or sandwiches..I feel like they are too accessible (delis) .  I don't get chicken- I eat lean chicken once every morning and it's a primary source of lean protein for me, and I am completely sick of it, LOL.   For desert, I like Tiramisu or a (non-chocolate (I am allergic to this too, sadly) cake of some sort, usually strawberry).

Japanese breading- tempura I always like   What kind of desert do you like?

Tempura! That's what I was thinking but i just couldn't name it off the top of my head! Thank you

Ah yes their biscuits are the best in my opinion. And ahh, being lactose intolerant doesn't sound like fun. Though I'm sure you are used to living with it by now right? Oh and I Did end up going to red lobster yesterday by the way haha

Yeah i like specific Italian food, certain pasta dishes but when it cones to lasagna and speghetti I'm not a big fan, plus there's lots of traditional Italian foods i haven't tried.

And yeah I'm like you! Burgers and sandwhichs just seem too basic to me haha.

Seems a lot of people like tiramisu, I've tried it before but I'm not a fan. It's been awhile though can't really remember the taste but I swear it has a coffee taste to it.... I can't stand coffee flavoured things. When it comes to desserts im a cheesecake kinda gal

Ah I see Im not really a hardcore fan of any model really either. I never even visit any of the big time models threads, they dont interest me for some reason. If I do visit a models thread, its usually the lesser knowns.

And im never in the TV, Sports and movie sections, so that explains why I never see you.

What sports are you into?

Yeah, not sure why, I just haven't quite felt motivated enough to keep up to date with the models section recently.

I would say football/soccer (do you guys still call it soccer in Canada?) is the only sport I love madly, but I like a bit of tennis as well. There never seems to be much action on the forum's topic, though. I’m familiar with the rules of basketball, ice hockey and golf too, thanks to the myriad of video games I’ve played over the years.

How about you?

Well yes, kind of I like the Clippers though, but I prefer the Spurs.

I like the way they play. Specially the emphasis the put on teamwork and moving the ball rather than relying on a mega-super star to do all the heavy work (*cough, LeBron, Carmelo Anthony). And they're effective in doing that.

Yea, we call it soccer here. When I was younger I had an interest in playing tennis but only briefly, I was never into watching it on TV or anything like that.

Lol at your video game remark when I was younger I was really into games like Zelda and Mario party.

The only sport I enjoy watching on TV is basketball.. And specifically the NBA. I was addicted to it in the early 2000's until about 2007 then I lost interest now I'm super interested in it again. I'm following the playoffs religiously
