I’m not sure I’m gonna like this 4. Two and three did nothing for me.

I didn't like 2 or 3 either as they were weak on story/interactions and coasted on their numerous action scenes. It seems like there wasn't enough story after 1.
The Animatrix was a decent collection of shorts and expanded the world building of the series- but they were also unfilmable with the tech of that time.
I remember people liking 2 and disliking 3. Matrix was really iconic circa 2000/early 2000s.
