I’m not sure I’m gonna like this 4. Two and three did nothing for me.

I didn't like 2 or 3 either as they were weak on story/interactions and coasted on their numerous action scenes.  It seems like there wasn't enough story after 1.  

The Animatrix was a decent collection of shorts and expanded the world building of the series- but they were also unfilmable with the tech of that time.

I remember people liking 2 and disliking 3.  Matrix was really iconic circa 2000/early 2000s.

You have to dig back several years, decades and he did some stand up which was brilliant. 

Black Adder reigns supreme! 

I have fond childhood memories of him being Mr. Bean.

Then you may like Black Adder. The funniest series to me was Black Adder II. 

PBS airs it from time to time, and they are all on video.
