^ First of all, i REALLY need to congratulate you for your 50'000 posts, HOW IS IT POSSIBLE ? ahaha, You must be a 'PIP SanGoku' at least now

lol good one
Speaking of Pokemon, I was obsessed back in the late 90's/early 2000's when it first became a big deal. I'm surprised it's still popular among kids today, well atleast I still see the toys and cards in stores and such.
Were you a hard core collector?
for some reason I collected and traded but I never actually battled, which I think was the purpose of the cards.
I'm surprised that kids still like it too, when i go to the shops, i still see VideoGames (i bought one as a present for Christmas for one my bro of 37 btw, so not only kids ahaha) and cards and all the collectible things like before !
I was basically a huge fan of DBZ
i was a collector of cards and figurines ... i loved that, then lol what we called before PocketMonsters (pokemon) is arrived from Japan and i immediatley loved it
The Gameboy cartridges first (blue and red edition lol) and then the Cards yes ! But it was super hard to find them after some time (like a shortage lol)...
So we traded them at school here too, but the same as you actually, i think i never played, battled with them, because they were too precious i guess maybe ahaha
But i never got a Charizard
Was too too rare ...
Haha thanks for the congrats ![]()

Im dying over this ![]()
There are so many models that I like that people don't show any love and im always updating there threads that's how I end up with so many posts
Five years in the making. ![]()
OMG Gameboys!
Im getting nostalgic, well I never owned one but I had a little brother and cousins who had them.
I did play Nintendo, this shitty thing down below
Did you ever play this? How old are you?
I feel so old, kids these days probably have no idea what the hell that is. Even I was very young when that was the go to video game device, Id say Super Nintendo was a bigger part of my childhood. I loved Donkey Kong! I was so bad though!
This probably wouldn't have been part of my childhood if I didn't have a brother because other than this I was a girly girl playing with my barbies and dolls. ![]()
Oh and Im very familiar with Nintendo 64..... Diddy King racing, Mario Party were my loves.. and Zelda was my GAME! Ocarina of time! I would fight with my brother to get a turn to play. lol I also played the Wii version of Zelda. I think Zelda Is my fave game ever.
I was never into DBZ though. ![]()
Haha Charizard... yeah that was like a 3rd level evolve or something like (excuse my shitty terminology) it was so easy to get the first level pokemons but yeah the higher evolves were rarer indead haha. Speaking of these pokemon cards I remember getting into a huge fight with my cousin over these cards.. I t was over one of the sparkly, translucent cards...we traded but I think he wanted to trade back and then he tried to bite me. Yeah things got intense ![]()
While we are on the topic of the 90's/ early 2000's.. you probably hated the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys right?
I was sooooo obsessed.
I don't get the love that 1 direction and Bieber get but rest assured if I was a kid/ pre-teen (or early teen) Id probably be just as big of a fan... ahhh the circle of life!

In your opinion and experience guys, what is the best Lego theme ever ? Castle/MiddleAge, Star Wars, Pirates, City ... etc ... ?
Star Wars, and then the wonderful, old time farm. (from the 70's or 80's, if I remember right.)
I never got old time farm, but i think i remember that one of my older brother got some boxes maybe...
And YEAH
StarWars are for me the best memories, i got the main part of my Lego with that, and Pirates too ![]()
I think the StarWars collection is the biggest one for Lego, the most lucrative maybe
But the coolest too !
My first StarWars boxes was probably this ones, it was ~99-2000, when the Episod I was released at the theater

Haha thanks for the congrats

But yeah, i see what you mean, i kinda do the same, some of my favorits models are not well know, so, i have fun in updating their threads, because nobody cares of them, and i'm not thinking only to Gen ![]()
Sometimes it's also very fun to create new topics for new faces, i love that, much more exciting than to post on Vetrans models topcs in my opinion ![]()

Well, you are 26 and i'm 27 so, we are the same generation !
Of course i played to the NES, but i was very young, something like 5 or 6 because i played to all these consoles because i got two older brothers and they was very FANS of VideoGames !
The first one with whom i played was very probably the GameBoy, then the NES, and of course just after, we got the Super NES, but in Europe they were like this, slight difference :
...i was and i'm still so in love for the Super NES, my favs games was the Legend Sayians, a DBZ game i got for one of my birthday, then Mario ALL STARS (
) and of course StreetFighters, we had huge afternoon with my bros playing this game ! We got THE Zelda too, it was A link to the Past on the Super NES, the music was so awesome, despite the 16-bites LOL Ghosts 'n Goblins was fun too, i was so scared about it ![]()
Nintendo was the king at this time, but i don't know if you remember that, but SEGA was great too, we got the Megadrive who was cool too :
...we played to SONIC on and some fun others games too...and SEGA got is own GameBoy too, it was called the GameGear, the battery was so shitty lol we was forced to play all the with the sector ![]()
After that, there had the Saturn from SEGA and the the PS1, but the Nintendo 64 was my fav too, some many fun games ! Mario64, MarioKart, Yoshi, the legendary 007GoldenEye etc... My brothers was a lot into Ocarina of time too, but it was super stressing for me to play with it ahah ![]()
So much good memories with all that, the GameBoy colors was like a dream come true after also
The screens was so tiny now i see them again ahah
I realise i was lucky to have my bros for that, and only for that ![]()
Well, DBZ was especially for boys at this time, now girls read Manga too, but before it was a sport only for boys ![]()
Pokemon was full of scams when we tried to trade them lol A Charizard could be traded for 10 or 20 cards ahah
OH NO, NOT AT ALL, i hated the boysBands ok, but i was a super fan od the SpiceGirls ahah Their two first albums was cool, i think with MIchael Jackson, that was the first music i listened, and after there had Britney ahah
I was only into girls or girls band though, The Circle of Life indeed ! Christina Aguilera was cool at this time too
lol
Memories ... ![]()

Reading all this on your early game decks and such makes me feel old! Maybe because I was a kid when Star Wars first came out, before it was tagged "Episode 4". That's right y'all, I'm in my late 40's.
I see the Nintendo pics, and I'm thinking, that was high tech. I had an original Atari back in the 80's.
I'm fascinated with how far technology has come in the last 40 years. From an Atari game deck to smart phones today. The car I drive now (it's 10 years old) has more computing power than the space shuttles did.
It is pretty damn cool if you ask me.
JJ, Funimation used to be right up the road from me, so to speak. They recently relocated to the other side of the metroplex. Some of the voice actors for DBZ would shop at the same comic book store as we did. Kind of cool.

^ That's true that one day the episod IV was just called 'A New Hope' ! You know, in some years, i'll be the same, and everybody to say the least. But "our" generation and even more then, was very spoiled, one of the most spoiled ever !
All these games, movies, cartoons, books, all this culture, i feel so rich of that ! Some people say that all that is only a "under culture" that's wrong in my opinion !
Crazy to think, the GameBoy was a 8-bit and now the PS4 is ~512 bit ![]()
Yeah, once a Maths teachers of me told us that too, the simple calculator we was using, was more powerful than the SpaceShuttle internal comp lol Crazy to think too !!
OMG how cool, what a coincidences, what a lucky coincidence for you !
French voices was not so super cool, i never tried to watch it with the english voices, only Japanese ones, the musics was very good too, sometimes i still listen them
Shhhh ahah Saint Seiya was my other fav, it's less know but very cool ! And the music was great too ![]()
