Best VS Commercial of 2014 Competition - RESULTS

There seems to be a competition for almost everything VS related. Why not add one more to the mix!? Hopefully this would be a fun competition
 
More information to come. I need to think about the best way to go about this competition and the specific rules. This is my first ranked competition so please me patient and gentle with me No nominations are needed since there were a limited number of VS commercials last year

Sounds good Pink. The commercials were a bit of a let down this year. The christmas commercial however made up for it. Can't wait.

I agree with Kevork, last year was a little meh In addition to last year can we do best overall? I like a lot of videos from 2001 to 2007 personally. If so count me in Boss, I got 4 lined up already lol

I went through YouTube and located 40 "commercials" from 2014 we could rate on different criteria However I do LOVE Pretty's idea of best overall VS commercial and will definitely explore it after this competition

Wow 40 from last year? Didn't even realise there were that many. Cool can't wait for this comp to start. And an overall one will be great too.

^ I included both online & TV commercials, anything that could potentially be a commercial (mainly the VS PINK videos) that is under 2 minutes

Ok, here is what I have come up with. Let me know does this make sense. I rather have all the questions out of the way before we start. I will probably post 2 videos each round to make it go faster. Each video will be rated on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the "best" score) based on the following 5 criteria:

Mood/Theme (The feeling, tone and message the commercial is conveying---How good of a job did the commercial achieve this?)

Music (How appropriate and fitting was the music? How much did you like the music?)

Visual Elements (Camera angles & shots, scenes, editing, transitions, effects, filters, etc.---How much did you like the visual elements?)

Effectiveness (How well did the commercial promote the product it was trying to sell? Did the voiceover or lack of it helped?)

Likability (Overall how much did you like the commercial?)

The final score of each commercial will be the accumulative ratings based on the 5 criteria. Make sense?

Yep that sounds great to me. Very easy to follow. How awesome.

How will you choose what goes against what? For example will it be all mixed up. Lingerie, Swim, Beauty and Pink and they all go head to head.

Or will they be in specific categories? Like Pink vs Pink?

^ I might post a commercial a day since there aren't that many, and on some days post 2 for minor commercials ("free gift with purchase,"  "buy one get one 50% off," etc.)

Let's give this a test run and hope it doesn't crash & burn
