I don't know. I do pretty well in school but math is the only thing
that gets me. So I think next semester will be a breeze ![]()

^^ I only got like 63% in math 11 and 53% in math 12 It's tough!

You get to do Psych in high school? Australia sucks <_<
And don't believe limerlight, Psych's not hard at all! It's basically common sense with science jargon shoved in to make it sound inte-mah-llectual! Just don't do it if you don't like essays and/or stats ![]()

Psych is actually hard, i had many smart friends take it and then come out of it saying it was a very fun and interesting class, but all the stuff you have to remember and memorize is insane (kinda like bio too) you have to know more then what you think. For instance, to my memory, my friend studied for psych in our law class, and they had to know the chemical balance for certain emotions/ states of minds.

Well, I think I'll be fine... I'm looking forward to both Psych & Bio.
I'm sure I'll do well. I'm only worried about math!
So far, my teacher isn't very good :| I'm trying not to have a
pessimistic attitude about it, but we did some review yesterday
and I completely understood how to do it as soon as she
handed out the worksheet. I remembered everything, but as soon
as she started "teaching" it to us, she just confused me...
I still get how to do it and I was doing it right, but it's as if she
took my thought process and turned it upside down and made
it go through a maze. Way complicated and unclear! So, I'm
just thinking, if that happened when I completely knew what I
was doing, what is it gonna be like when it's something new
and I don't get it very easily right off the bat?
Math is, like, the only class that I ever need some help in so its
just frustrating to have teachers that I feel can't help me out...

It's okay Portia, i never paid attention in math 11 (due to creative difference's with the bitch of a teacher i had.) Even though like i said i only recieved 63%, and 53% in math 11 and 12 respectivly, i know what to do, the teachers just have complex ways of explaining it. What you need to try and do is figure out a way to change what they're saying into common language. And if that fails, grab the smartest kid in your class and become friends with them so they can tutor you! (or do your tests for you, either one
)

rly? wtf? :| even I don't know that stuff after going through Uni (then again I never really concentrated in biopsych, but I do remember that it was pretty hardcore stuff. I just passed
). Also, Psych taught and practiced in Australia is pretty dodgy too
If my memory serves me correctly, it pretty much boils down to Potassium, Chloride and Sodium (maybe there was another one? - I can't remember) inhibiting and exciting neurons. Then you have the hormones such as testosterone, estrogen, serotonin, adrenaline, noradrenaline, dopamine and cortisol. I'd be surprised if they made you remember anything in more detail than that though. Oh, I guess then there's the medication that interacts with all these hormones as well like Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors and Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors.
I just read my post again. It scares me
Don't do psych /p/
