I was just watching some puff-piece on this new guitar documentary called It Might Get Loud, and they were showing the premiere in New York when lo and behold there appeared Jessica Gomes! First thing, I never realized she was Australian - I figured being Portugese/Singaporean she was either from Portugal or Singapore (I think these things are lost in translation - I'd never say I was Spanish-Romany/British I'd just say 'Argentine' ) - and secondly that you pronounce Gomes like 'homes'... Just thought it was 'go-mez'.

Anyway, there was a picture from that premiere when I looked the film up just now (from some time in August I think) - and I thought you might like to see:

They're a fun band. Not as good as Queens but still good.

I just found out that they're the support band for the Arctic Monkeys in the UK this year. I was impressed until I remembered that I'd only heard about two of their songs Are they supporting the Arctics in the States too?

btw its official the 2016 Olympics will be held in Rio! thats about the time i was thinking about moving there
