Toldo & Sirigu were decent, but not on his level. Italy has always had good to decent goalkeeping overall.
Perin & Donnarumma are the heirs.

I don't think Donnarumma is going anywhere anytime soon. He's already at a big club and big name Italian players rarely leave Serie A for the other 3 big leagues (La Liga, EPL, and Bundesliga). Ligue Un is getting to that status, but are not there yet imo.

He's not going anywhere unless Real Madrid or Barca call. That I would think are the only two clubs he would go. No team from the EPL or Bundesliga. PSG could be a player too. Chinese clubs are offering players huge sums of money to play there. He could go there, but wouldn't get called up for the National team squad though because the competition & coaching in that league suck.
Juventus wants him to replace Gigi, if that happens

Verratti is the only Italian player aboard that could break the bank. Giovinco, Balotelli, Pirlo, Zaza, Darmian, Borini, Ogbonna, Cerci, and Sirigu are the only Italian players abroad that are decent. Pirlo is about to retire, Giovinco, Darmian, Ogbonna, and Borini are decent. Balotelli needs to get his shit together because he's world class when he is right, he's still only 25. I think I'm one of the few people that still believes in Balotelli.

The bad thing about Balo is when he's playing at a high level with confidence only happens when he is a diva. He needs to find a way to suppress the diva while playing at a high level.
