since they SUCK, nothing good..

They didn't play great at all, and Ventura was not very inspiring after.

Maybe they will play better and make it to Russia.  

i'm not hopeful but we'll see

Ventura is a moron and should be fired before the return leg on Monday. If somehow he survives and Italy advances to the world cup, he should still be fired.

Also Italy needs to fix the national team development program and Serie A. Italy is average at best, where are the new emerging stars & game changers? Italy will always produce defenders & goalies, but the midfield is crap & strikers are horrendous.

I saw where a reporter pointed out that the team is essentially run by the old guard players, the ones who have been around for over a decade. Ventura is unlikely to be fired because this group of players may not react well to it.

If they qualify for Russia, the story could be different on his job security. The reporter didn't comment on that.

^All more the reason why he should be sacked before Monday.

Even if you think of something that dumb, how are you stupid enough to say it?

I know Ventura is gone, but whoever hired him should be out too.

That's one of the many reasons why Ventura should have been fired before the match yesterday and even sooner than that.

My dad told me that there's a tiny chance that Italy can be in for the World Cup because of an issue with the Spanish team and they might be expelled from the World Cup and Italy should replace them.  if this happens, I'm sure we're gonna lose in the very first match
