^^Actually she's always wanted to do something other than modelling. She said in an interview once that she wanted to be an astronaut, then a pilot when she was younger. But she decided on being an air-hostess but a back injury stopped her from fulfilling that dream. She was working in Zara when she was 18 and paying for her studies then a friend of her convinced her to do some photos and build a modelling portfolio.

A friend entered her in Miss World Models in December 1997, she wasn't sure if she should do it but because she loves travelling and it was taking place in Istambul, Turkey. She went for it and that was that, she came 2nd and then she started getting work in Spain. She then met Raul in late December of 1997 and she just started modelling but she was always studying.

She was doing languages English & Italian and also Computer classes.

Then 3 years after meeting and getting married they had Jorge, then Hugo and then the twins.

Maybe she will open her own little learning centre or even a private school in the future who knows?

But good for her, she's rare in the 'footballer's wives' circle she's VERY INTELLIGENT!

Lagerbäck Praises "Favourite" Raul

Sweden coach Lars Lagerbäck has commended Spain's Raul as being his "favourite type of player"...

Lars Lagerbäck has expressed his delight that Raul won't be playing for Spain against his Swedish outfit in the upcoming Euro 2008 qualifier at the Bernabeu.

The experienced coach said, "Raul is my favourite type of player. It's fascinating to watch him."

Drawing comparisons with Swedish legend Henrik Larsson, the ten-year veteran of the national setup praised Raul's "mobility" and "character."

Still, for all his admiration of Raul, he knows that those Spanish players that will take part on Saturday will pose his side a threat.

"Spain have many fantastic players," he admitted.

"You could put out three teams with the squad that they have, and they'd all be equally good.

"I agree with Martin Olsen [Denmark coach] that Spain are the European Brazil."

Sweden need just a point to formally secure their place at Austria-Switzerland next year, but the manager insists that his side wil aim to go one better.

"We will try to win, even though it's tough to beat Spain away from home," he said.

The Swedish national squad are already in Madrid in preparation for Saturday's encounter, with Wednesday's training session beginning at 12:00 local time.

Ibrahimovic: Raul Could Walk Into Any National Side

Inter and Sweden forward Zlatan 'Ibra' Ibrahimovic is delighted that he won't be coming up against Raul on Saturday...

Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that Raul is one of the greats.

Much to his surprise, the striker has yet again been left out of Luis Aragones' squad, with the Inter man feeling that Raul is more than good enough for the job at hand.

"I don't know why [he's not here], as he's a great player," said the Swedish striker.

"He's had many great matches for both the national squad and his club.

"Whether it makes us lucky or not I don't know, but there will be one less world-class player on the pitch.

"His capacity as a player could get him into any national side in the world."

With or without the Real Madrid star, Spain could pose a threat to Zlatan's men, but the 26 year old won't give up without a fight.

"Am I scared? No," he stated.

"But I do have a lot of respect. They're a very good team and have many great players in each position, so we of Sweden must be patient.

"Spain likes to hold possession, and we need to play well in order to have a favourable match.

"We're not afraid, but we have respect, and it'll be fun and memorable to play in a wonderful stadium."

Ibra moved on to say that playing at the Bernabeu on a more regular basis would be a very interesting proposition.

"Everybody wants to play with Real Madrid, but not everyone can," he began.

"But you never know in future. I have a long contract with Inter, but you never know."

In closing, he remarked that Spanish stopper Iker Casillas was "a very young, very great goalkeeper," but added that "after playing against [Gigi] Buffon, you can play against anyone."

Raúl Absence Has Not Hurt Spain

Ljungberg Freddie Ljungberg believes that Raúl's omission from the Spanish team has not changed much and that Sweden will still have to work very hard to earn something on Saturday evening.

The West Ham United forward is relishing the prospect of facing la Selección, but is more concerned with ensuring that his country qualify for the European Championships next summer.

Luis Aragonés has not chosen Raúl for Spain for over a year, but Ljungberg does not believe that his absence has hurt the team.

"Raúl is a great player, but he has not been in the national team for a long time and Spain are not doing too badly," he explained.

If the Swedes can hold out in the early stages, then they will be able to look for weaknesses in the Spanish defence, according to Ljungberg

"We will have to hold out for the opening 20 minutes when they will attack and then we can start to look for the spaces that they leave," he continued.

"The Spanish team is very aggressive when they want to win the ball back and it is important that we try to maintain possession because then there will be gaps behind them."

Whichever teams loses in the Bernabéu, the pressure will be on them in the final game in midweek if Denmark defeat Northern Ireland in Belfast, but Ljungberg is only focussed on this weekend.

"To play Spain is a prestigious game and we feel we can win. The fundamental thing is to ensure that we qualify. That is always the most important thing," he stated.

"We want to win our final match as well and finish strongly."

Raúl: "We have to support Spain; I'm sure they'll make it to the Euro 2008"

Spain will face Sweden at the Bernabéu tonight, being only one point away from qualifying to the Euro 2008. Raúl is convinced the Reds will make it and he gives them all his support.

If Spain defeat Sweden, they would mathematically be qualified to play in the Euro 2008. They currently depend on themselves to make it. On Wednesday they will play against Northern Ireland.

The Santiago Bernabéu will be the venue for tonight's clash, with a crowd of 75,000.

"Spain's next couple of games are very important," said Raúl, "The most important thing right now is the clash with Sweden. The Spanish national team is one step away from making it to the Euro 2008; let's hope they take it tonight. We should all unite to support the team. The fans will respond well, as they always do, and I'm sure a packed stadium will drive the team to a victory."
