My first earthquake in the US yeah, last summer  but that was definitely not the very first earthquake that I've experienced, since in Italy we have earthquake very often.

^^  I knew Italy had earthquakes, but I wasn't thinking about that when I asked for some reason.

It's good you were used to earthquakes so you would not be scared like some people when they move there.

It was actually a “fun” experience because for them it was a pretty bad shake, but for me it looked so soft and not that dangerous, it was more of a wavy feeling and I’m used to worse stuff like shake and bounce

Okay

I'm glad you got to be in SoCal. Hopefully you get to visit NorCal. They're both scenic in their own unique ways, but I prefer NorCal.

I actually visited San Francisco for my birthday and it looked pretty cool, but I gotta admit I prefer Los Angeles

I was talking about the areas around too. Wish you would've had time to do the Highway 1 drive and other stuff.

There have to be some real Italian restaurants in the city. (not chains)

I'm sure she can cook real Italian food when she misses it.

Well, I mean hopefully my relationship goes that well that I get to live here permanently  and well I can’t complain, it’s very expensive to live here but I guess we can make it!

I hope you’re not referring to pineapple pizza  luckily I’ve found Eataly where the food is really good but there are some good italian restaurants here and there, we just don’t go out for dinner that much

I hope it works out for you, there's always the lottery too. Yeah that's one of many reasons I choose not to explore any opportunities there.

That's called Hawaiian pizza, I don't like that and the fruity Californian style pizzas.

You don't notice a difference in the food? American Italian food is heavy as fuck and makes you sleep.

I guess pasta dishes are heavy for you Americans in general, I can see it even with how expensive it is. I can see the difference on the way it’s cooked or the sauces and toppings you use because you lack of many important ingredients that we use daily (like panna, besciamella cheese or bunny liver) and substitute them with whatever you have (like yoghurt used like panna/white sauce which is totally wrong). Something like that, but I’ve been lucky enough so far with the italian restaurants that I’ve tried and I’m very picky
