The Japanese swordman is a well known Japanese actor, Hiroyuki Sanada.  He also played a similar role in "The Last Samurai"

I like Shogun World, and the casting of Hiroyuki Sanada and Rinko Kikuchi. Also, Tao Okamoto and Kiki Sukezane, among others.

 

I haven't looked ahead, but I hope some of them continue on.

I'm most looking forward to see how the young/old william arc settles down and what happens when he confronts Dolores again.  It seems to me that Dolores is getting more megalomaniac/evil and William is on the path of redemption.  It's literally the opposite of S1.

Did not watch this episode yet but they gave me the  Symphony No 7 of  Beethoven second movement  and I am sold.
