They're good, both of them, but my favorite will always be Triss. Not just because she's a sexy redhead, but also because she's the sweetest.
Netflix didn't make a good portrait of her. I don't know how she is in the books, but I heard she's not that present.

I am still on Book 4, however in Book 3 Triss appears, obviously likes Geralt and has a journey with him. She is also much nicer to him than Yennefer. However she is really into being a political activist (like in the Witcher 3). The book quickly changes subjects. Triss is in Witcher 2 as well. I heard that overall Triss is a much more minor character than Yennefer despite them getting romantically involved. Geralt utlimately being with Yennefer is canon. So far, in the books there is a lot of Ciri, Yennefer and Dandelion content, making them the most important characters behind Geralt. (1, 2, 3, 4, 8 )
The weird thing to me is why they designed Ciri with panda eyes. The child Ciri does not have panda eyes but the Elves do in the game, as does Ciri (who has elf blood). She has panda eyes even after she is recovered from the boat, and is washed. I like all these characters, Triss, Ciri, Shani, Yennefer, and Keira in their own ways.
I have started watching the TV show, and am up to episode 2. They woke'fied the casting and it just looks weird at times, and they couldn't have hired a less good looking Triss!
The thing I have noticed immediately is that they are doing fanfiction, and it is only a loose adaptation of the books. There are scenes that never happened in book 1 and 2 and the director created new material to fill up the missing story in the original books. I heard that in S1 they had to have Yennefer and Ciri from the start so this motivated the change. In the books, Dandelion is the no. 2 character, he is in most of the stories.
