Do we have any idea what kind of percentage there will be between traditional SI model types and these new "body positive models" will be?
I ask because I have been a subscriber to SI since I was a kid in the 90s and I rarely read the magazine. I considered cancelling my subscription last year but decided not to because I love the swimsuit edition and I like getting free premium access to the app.
But if this is magazine is going to have these new model types make up 50% of the models then I'm out for good. I can live with having an Ashley graham take up a couple spots but this would be too much. I don't keep my magazine sub to purchase swimsuits. I'm a guy who likes looking at hot women in pictures that aren't complete porn. SI's hit rate with regular models is already like 75% for me so if your adding even more girls that I know I won't like then that will bring it down to like 25%-35% of the girls in the magazine that I enjoy.
If the magazine can thrive with this approach then good form them but it will be without me.
How much does the app cost? You would likely save money by cancelling your subscription even if you bought the Swim Issue and the app.

Enough that the internet keyboard hero's won't say anything on twitter, and not enough where people, such as yourself will not want to come back and look at SI again

I think you should unsubscribe, I think the odds are there will be a 50% of "body positive" models, at first I thought there would only be one girl from the model search but now I'm pretty sure there will be more.
I read an interview with MJ a couple of days ago and all she did was talk about how she couldn't relate to the bodies of the skinny girls, and how soooo many women have come up to her to thanks her for the new approach from the magazine, that some of them were crying of joy at the show because of how diverse it was, bla bla bla. That made me realize that SI's days as a men magazine are done. MJ killed it, she is now clearly aiming to sell magazines to women like her.
^I'm not sure she's a Marilyn look alike. I'm not quite sure who she reminds me of.
