Do you also use monster insights? Or what plugin you have in mind? Or do I need the paid version of Monster insights?

From what I have heard there are free plugins that has post view counts & other stats but I don't have a particular in mind. Maybe do a plugin search on WP?

Love the new stats pluggin, really cool to see article views, blog views, clicks, searches, etc.

 I submitted a ticket to Monster insights and they said no they dont support it, but this "jetpack" thing apperently does some basic tracking.

So I think those numbers are pretty low because most of the traffic comes from google and it would send you directly to the thread and not the frontpage. We are working on getting a little widget that will show you "latest blog posts" and hopefully a lot more traffic will go to the blog.

Sorry we are fixing bugs but once we are done we will be working on getting some sort of "widget" to show new articles on the blog. 

Started this one about a week ago, and finally finished it.

Just wondering MD, since the sidebar linking to our blog posts is up and running now, is there anything to be said for having plug-ins for our various social media feeds in the white space below?

Yes there are plans to add more stuff to that bar, I just havent had time. Have family visiting in the next few days, then im taking off for the summer and the forum will be upgraded to a new revision which has broken a few things on our test site. We are working to get all that sorted then we will improve that sidebar to have more relevant content.

Me again. I was just thinking, might it be an idea to have a weekly 'forum highlights' article on the blog, collecting and linking to maybe half a dozen or so of the most interesting editorials posted over the previous seven days? It would be pretty simple to create, keep the blog post count ticking over and point readers back towards the forum.

Thats a good idea, there is a "promote" feature in the upcoming IPB 4.2 (should be out in the next few weeks) where you are able to just flag a post and make that into a blog post thingy, we would need to integrate it somehow with WP but I assume its doable. 

Were you thinking of doing that by hand? Or just copy and paste it into WP?

The thought was just to set it out like any other article, link to a few standout forum posts and perhaps sprinkle in a few pics. Although I do like the look of that feature too.
