That's why playing in Canada seems like the right idea, to me. The NHL might be the only league to make it work, and choosing Canada could be the reason why.
Not to compare them with New Zealand, but NZ have had full stands at sporting events already with no worries about virus spread. Canada may not be there yet, but they are closer than many countries, including the US.

I'm excited for the play in series and the 1st OA pick will be a awesome consolation prize to one of the losers.
I just hope they don't pull that BLM and for that matter any political crap, just hockey.

Most of that is pregame, just tune in a few minutes late.

Most sports broadcasts used to start with the game (kick-off, tip-off, etc.) with nothing else. No national anthem, no hand shaking, nothing. That was probably the best, and would probably be the best now.

Serie A does no kneeling and has no BLM on their shirts, they just play football.

No team. I keep up with it during the season and watch more in the playoffs.

Gotcha............. you should root for the Canucks.

Some days it seems impossible team sports will be able to play in the US.

Also the goal posts keep moving too besides no one asking any questions.

I am not keeping up with the day-to-day, but it seems like some of the leagues are not communicating well with the players so they know what to do and what to expect.

I was talking about Corona in general with our idiot ideological politicians, not sports. I really think with the testing amping up in the sports leagues that there will be positive cases, we won't know how many are false positives though.

There will be positives, to be sure. I don't know which leagues are certain how they want to handle positives. Players in some leagues aren't getting results from their tests for days.
The false positives depend on which test is being used. The highest amount of false positives come from some of the antibody tests, but I don't think any leagues are trying to use those to see who is sick (hope not, that would be dumb). For the virus test, some are much better than others. The leagues should have looked into that to make sure they have the best chance to be certain who has the virus, because very accurate tests exist. I really don't know which tests each league is using though. They put themselves in a tough situation if they use the wrong test.

I'm sure each league will have their own protocols.
Wonder if any league will abandon their seasons if positive cases spike even though they're asymptomatic?

It's really hard to guess. If it happens that way, it will most certainly be because they don't want to look bad. It also may vary by sport. For example in basketball, it's a much bigger deal to miss one player, particularly a starter. So they may be less likely to push forward in that situation. Other sports are probably less likely to react as strongly.

True, I hope players and fans don't use this Corona crap as an excuse or try to asterisk the championship teams.

Asterisk conversations are annoying. If you are professionals playing against professionals, it's a real championship.

I agree.................. unusual circumstances might light this flame.
It'll be more of a fan thing though.
