At what point are the individual hospitals liable for providing shit equipment?
I believe somehow there was federal legislation that was passed recently where healthcare workers can't get workmans comp from being infected with the Coronavirus.

That I do and also it's a sign of a return to normalcy even without the fans.
I also do think the world will be forever changed though, some for the better and some for the worse.

Sometimes you have to speak truth to power, but Sister Matt doesn't have the security as old workers yet.

Makes sense, it's the same people who wouldn't pay for healthcare for the workers who worked at ground zero after 9/11 (mainly that senator from Kentucky).

McConnell is a career sellout politician the same can be said about Pelosi............ they aren't working for the people, only themselves and their donors.
Call me pessimistic, but there are only a few good politicians in DC.

I don't think you are pessimistic, the main goal for most of them is winning their next election. I wouldn't want to guess a percentage for how many have a primary goal of doing what's best, but it's not a high percentage. The only hopeful side of it is that there are good one's from both sides, even if they don't agree with each other on what is best.
That's what the situation looks like to me anyway.

I understand that it's a cushy job that pays extremely well with excellent benefits and healthcare coverage so they'll do anything to keep it where they aren't responsible with their power.

I agree that' it's not a high percentage at all, but I think a medium sized portion of progressives and conservatives think they're fighting for them. In actuality both parties are enriching themselves and their benefactors at the expense of the middle and working class. Both parties hide it blaming/accusing each other. I do believe people can see the Republicans rob people out in the open whereas the Democrats are very duplicitous and rob the people from behind where you don't see it coming. Some conspiracy theories I've seen is that the Republicans and Democrats are really one party that use the guise of using both parties partisan bickering as a front to hide their shady shit.
I don't like the Progressives either.
I leaned Democrat growing up and now lean heavily Libertarian.

I hear you.
My overall take with the government and all other positions of power: All that have power are afraid to lose it, even the good guys.............. what are they/you willing to do to hold onto that power.
