I one of the VS related interviews, Adriana talks about being sexy and innocent at the same time (and as she's talking she has a lovely shy sparkle in her eye). I think that what she means is that sex doesn't have to be about exploitation, using people, or ego and self-aggrandisement. It can be about love and the profound fierce joy of sexual passion - giving ourselves to our partner, having our partner give himself/herself to us, giving pleasure to our partner and taking the pleasure that he/she gives. In other words, she knows that sex can be holy. This is why I don't think that Adriana is a virgin - she's discovered a profounder truth about human love and human sexuality...

Shouldn't we try to assume the best of people? I'm saying that instead of automatically labelling Adriana as a liar, we should believe what she says as true until further evidence provides an alternate perspective. We don't know her enough to say if she is an honest person or a liar, but I hold fast to the belief "Innocent Until Proven Guilty" . In my opinion, at least at this point, if she says she's a virgin, she's a virgin.

And Pyrrho, that's all well and good and while I agree whole-heartedly with what you say (on a personal level), I think you're either giving Adriana too much credit, or not enough. It depends on which viewpoint you take. :)

I agree. Unless a sex tape of her and the Prince 'getting it on' somehow surfaces around the internet, no one has proof, or can with 100% certainty, know if she is or isn't a virgin...(besides her words)

Look closely at who she's dated. Lenny Kravits, Derek Jeter... these are not men known for their honorable attentions towards young women. But so what?

It's the 21st century, after all. Women are no longer the property of their fathers and their husbands, and no long confined to what historians would call the female gender role. Women can own coorporations, have familes, and basically do what they want. But the sexual double standard still prevails.

In my opinion, she's putting a spin on things. Which is fine. If she isn't a virgin, why should we condemn her? And if she had had plastic surgery, same thing.

Do I think she lied? Yes. Do I understand why? Of course. Do I like her any less? Of course not. Frankly, its none of our damn business what she does with herself.
