Maybe. I don't know what's best, it's not a simple issue. At least, Standard Oil went from one giant behemoth to a couple of colossi. That's a little better. Even if it's not perfect, there's still "some" competition in the oil industry.
(plus there are several other companies: Saudi Aramco, the Chinese Sinopec and CNPC, the Russian Lukoil, the French Total or the Italian ENI, etc.)
