VS’ official jump the shark moment was when they started to recycle wings. Why? Because WINGS are what made the show special in the first place. When other brands copy the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows, they put wings on their models.

Also recycling shoes from past shows cheapened the brand and made it less prestigious.

Romee Strijd did look very good at this year's show and I say this as someone who is far from her biggest fan and will likely never become a big fan.

I don't mind them recycling wings. Not only are they expensive each wing takes a long time to put together. Also from a business and sustainability standpoint it makes sense.

Shoe I am a bit "ermmm" about because the idea of sharing shoes grosses me out. But again from a business and sustainability standpoint it makes sense.

Is there a reason at all that they need to come up with over-complicated 'themes' for the show every year? Why don't they just put the girls in sexy lingerie, add wings and that's it? Maybe it's me being a red-blooded male that wants them to wear a lot less than we saw this year  but is it really that hard?

Her pre-VS work is pretty good. VS seem to have dimmed her sparkle and true potential.

I am pretty sure its a matter of taste. VS is not trolling us to see just how much crap the audience will put up with.

The segments started with an awesome idea.... Balmain has done some great stuff..  concept punk Angels.. lets up it with Olivier (sounds promising). Porcelain angels.. new concept, could have been beautiful, some items were. Goddesses... haven't quite seen this theme and its one that has been requested before.. some outfits were a mess but it was a different profile form what weve seen lately. 

Pink is always like that movie you go and see because its meant to provide stupid comedy and enjoy-ability, not going to win any Oscars though.

I agree with this 99% - I do not mind them re-using those black wings.

I was happy this year to see different shoes. 

Another boring thing they do is that the stage is always the same with LED and it always have the same openings. What happened to the girls coming out of a Christmas present in 2005, an angel flying down the runway, etc. it’s what made the show fun  and I want more fun scenery like in 2005

Yes to them needing to build more sets again. This year only one segment looked good, the one with the pillars. Otherwise it was very dark, just a black background for the models. Makes the show look cold and the stage very big and empty. Past shows created that sexy, fun, sensual, and glamorous feel with the sets as well.

It's not really about them wearing less (though I wouldn't be opposed to that ), but them wearing ensembles that are jarring to look at.

So much is going on in some of them.

And yes to the audience needing to be closer to the runway to get that intimate feel again. I wonder if the people in the audience could even see the models or were they blurry ants on a big stage.

I miss the time when it felt like whoever got wings “owned” those wings from then on.

If they need to go with themed costumes, they should choose themes that are inherently sexy like flight attendants. If you have to think about how to make some concept sexy, don’t bother.

I think I’ve made this question before, but I don’t recall getting an answer in the caos of the show, understandably ... Was someone famous in the audience this year? Were there celebrieties of some kind?

Theyll also lose the good models who take themselves seriously and refuse to walk in these Halloween costumes. Like you could tell how Candice was so fed up by it. 

Vs has already lost money look how awful the outfits were and there were so many basic models who shouldn't have been there they should stop doing the show if it's not raking any views 

Am I the only one who thinks Romee has actually improved since she started doing VS? I didn't like her look pre VS at all but now I actually kinda like her. Will never be a favorite but she has her moments. And who knows why VS wants to do everything over the top for the past couple of years...  I like all of their shows pre 2010 except 2007 and 2009. The rest of them were flawless imo, 2003 was a little more "wild" than previous years but still fun and some really nice outfits. What blows my mind though is how some of the sketches (for the past couple of years) look absolutely stunning on paper yet in real life they just look so odd and just wrong. I always feel like they want too much of everything and end up messing up the outfit because they can't stop adding stupid things to it.

I gotta say a lot of the outfits look better in motion. 

I can't be the only one that actually liked Nomadic  I thought it was an OK segment, Miguel's song is catchy, the walls and poses on point and it didn't look all mix match colourful shit bomb nonsense like ET and TRA.

I agree with you.

It was much better than ET and TRA.

I think it should've open the show.
