2018 World Cup

Croatia isn't coming back against France.

FIFA should just go with 64 teams instead of 48 for the 2026 World Cup.

Everything would be even and don't need to have 16 3 team groups.

^^  I don't know if they considered that or not, but I imagine it will eventually get to 64.

I think with the expansion to 48 all the proposals had to fit in the same time frame as the current World Cup. I think you would have to make the tournament longer to fit 64.

It would certainly be easy to make it in though.  

They're already going to have to add a week for the Round of 32 for the 48 team World Cup.

For the 64 team World Cup all you have to do is double the 32 team World Cup schedule and add a Round of 32.

It would just add another match overall and the teams would need to win 5 matches in the knockout round instead of 4 to lift the Cup.

I assume the third-place match comes from the idea of the Olympic Bronze medal match, but there are no bronze medals in the World Cup, right. It's not needed, but they won't get rid of it because of money.

For a player, it has to be hard to get excited about it after missing out on the final.

Usually, finals are pretty good (except 1994 obviously....)

Don't care if France wins, I like a lot of guys on their team.

Croatia winning is an awesome story and better for football, Lovren can get fucked though.

@Sanni you should like the kits for both countries today.

Croatia is dominating yet France has the lead.

I guess the only way this could have been better for France was if it was played yesterday instead.
