No, this has nothing to do with drugs, which is what you are referring to.

Rock groups don't go around stabbing other groups at award shows, or having East Coast West Coast battles. They didn't influence people into thinking it's ok to butcher the English language into almost unrecognizable slurs.

How you ever came to the conclusion that the 70's rock lifestyle is in the least bit like the Rap lifestyle today, I will never understand.

Rap isn't music, wasn't designed to be. Its the African American's version of poetry, its art. These guys think up the stuff you hear on songs in about 2 minutes. Sure some people have perverted it, but its their culture. You can't blame the music for drugs and gang violence. You really think somebody growing up in a poor ghetto gang infested neighboorhood and doesn't hear rap music at all is gonna be immune or any better. no
