I don't like the american accent I've been to NY, and in the beginning it was funny, but after a while it starts to annoy... It sounds so boring and everyone talks that way...

Yeah unfortunately it is... It's pretty impressive though, but I like the atmosphere in Rome & London better than in NY.

Still, NY is a great city Lots of different people...

I would not say it is expensive to visit. More like expensive to live. But I guess the concept of "expensive" is subjective

Actually Californians do have accents. I can always tell if someone is from Cali

i live in western new york and we have very different accents from new york city people. we are really nasally talkers. rochester (where i live) we really have our own accent. people from surrounding cities talk different than we do. it's weird. also, staten island people talk VERY different from new york city residents.

None of the ladies from SATC had New Yorker accents

it's hard to say, really. a lot of actors and actress work hard on diction to get rid of any accent they might have. i think nyc accents are like boston accents, but boston accents are much harder... and annoying haha. sorry if anyone is from boston, but one of my best friends is from boston and i pick on her because of the way she talks all the time!

Anyways, with Bostonian accents all you do is drop the "r's" and replace it with "h's" (example: retahed). To confuse you all more, add r's to end of words that don't have r's (example: Atlantar)

i am sure it depends where you live there. but, the ones that i know have pretty thick accents.

I think to say someone's accent is "annoying" is inappropriate. We all have some sort of accent.
