A-Rod's lucky he don't play soccer in South AMerica.

He'd be thrown into a terrarium full of Aids afflicted snapping turtles and a flock of g.ay penguins suffering from syphillis.

I hope Arod chokes on his own feces

-OriginalSin @ bellazon.com

He [Arod] has the personality of a platinum plated paper clip. And that's what his biggest problem is. Thats what holds him back. And thats why I don't like him. He's says too many stupid things. Jeter is bland but he gets his points across when he wants to. Otherwise is boring filler. A-Rod, at best offers absolutely nothing insightful. At worst he incites other teams or makes the press (representatives of the fans) roll their eyes.

Jeter is Meat and Potatoes. A-Rod is Doritos.

i dont know, there were a few calls that could have gone either way...which in turn could have made a big difference in the outcome of the game....if i were a yankees fan i would be saying that game was rigged! i know i do that a lot when the refs dont call the lakers games fairly.

ok first off...yes, i hate that the yankees underperformed this year...but actually my comment was directed at the mets...i just covered it up in the end because i hate being that person that pokes fun at other people's teams. but basically it amuses me that someone whose team didnt even make the playoffs can sit around talking smack about a team that did (yes even with the payroll...its like who are you to say anything? you're team didnt even make it). back to the yankees' underperforming...not happy, but you know what? i'll take this ANY DAY over getting fucking knocked out of the playoffs after being up 3-0. UGH. now THAT was disgusting and embarassing...this was expected, sadly enough. the whole season was marred with underperforming, but it aint my money...so i really dont care about that aspect.

now re: the angels being my 2nd favorite team... i am pretty hard core about the yankees (some of my friends actually think i have a problem it seems)..they are the only team i bother to buy apparel for (tho i wouldnt mind a Krod tshirt )...but the angels have been my 2nd favorite team for a while...even before we lost tonight i mentioned that i would be OK with the angels going to the pennant...maybe i didnt say it here but i definitely said it in my thread. to tell you the truth though, i dont feel much of anything right now...not happy, not sad...not anything...basically after last year, at least for me...there's nothing worse than that, so maybe thats why i dont care about this first round exit. i am however cracking the fuck up over the embarassment that is alex rodriguez in big game situations. i've hated him for a while now...glad he gave me more reason to continue my irrational hatred of him

Why bring the Mets up? Like I said before, the Mets are a team on the come. We still have major holes in our team, so making the playoffs this season was not a priority. Seeing progress in our young players and getting back to respectability was. Very rearly does a team that was 20 games under .500 the previous season make a dramatic turnaround and make the playoffs and/or win a championship the next season. Yankee fans around the city constantly knock our team so it's only fair to give it back to you guys. It's all in good fun.

Did you see the headline on the back page of the NY Daily News? I laughed my ass off when I saw it. It's so true.

The Yankees need to stop plucking players off the All-Star team and start getting players who know how to play the game the right way. I think they've forgotten how they won their championships. The Angels and the Cardinals have those types of players on their teams.

In the past, balls would bounce or drop in the Yankees favor, a la, the Todd Zeile near homerun in Game 1 of the 2000 World Series. Umpire calls would also seemingly go in favor of the Yankees everytime. That's why many people actually believe that God is a Yankee fan. I was hollering at the televison when Robinson Cano was called out of the baseline in last night's game. It was one of the worst calls I had ever seen.

why bring the mets up? i wouldnt have brought them up AT ALL but it seems incredibly stupid to me to sit around and laugh at the yankees making a first round exit when your team didnt even make the playoffs. i'm sorry but that just annoys the shit out of me. yes, the mets did a lot better this year, i'm not denying that...in fact i've said before that i think they have a good chance of making the playoffs next year, yet you continue to make remarks about the yankees. yankee fans constantly knock on your team? have i come down hard on your team unless you've made a comment about the yankees first? consider me the antithesis of most yankee fans and treat me as such!!!!! i demand it! or i shall poke you with my stick! post-1254-1129057509.gif

that back cover is hilarious i love it!!!!

and yeah, the yankee organization (front office) needs a revamp. in terms of the way they go about getting players and whatnot. its really quite disgusting. i'm so tired of all these players who swing for the fences and that's it.

i can't wait for all the bad stuff that i get to hear on the radio...i'm actually one of these sick twisted fans who enjoys this kind of shit. you should've read my msn space when i had it up...all i would do was rip on the yankees (this was early in the season) and bring up amazing quotes from the daily news and the post that basically summed up the yankees in 10 words or less

this might explain why i'm not unhappy that we lost

I'm still wondering why Neo keeps posting in this thread about his disinterest in baseball...lol

Astros still rule and this Cardinal/Astro playoff series will be mucho exiting. My two favorite teams playing each other...very nice.

That ump called the MUTHAFUCKA OUT TWICE!!! I know that umps are only human, BUT GOT DAMN, This is the ALCS, AND YOU GOT TO MAKE THE RIGHT CALL!!! I know we don't have instant replay in MLB, but when it comes to games of this magnitude, MAYBE WE SHOULD?! Now if the White Sox win the ALCS, their victory will be SOMEWHAT TAINTED!!! (N)

I do that sometimes with baseball games. Thats when I just guess and say the Sox won, cause you got a 3 outta 30 or so chance on being right.
