Oh my...

Porn...I have nothing against it, but I don't really watch it, at least not on my own account. Some of my guy friends will just have it on at their place all the time, I swear it's like background noise for them. lol.

I'm more literary inclined, what can I say, English major. lol. I'll almost always take a good story over a film.

I do agree though that Americans are very sexually repressed. They feel very uncomfortable with talking about most things sex related. It's in our puritanical roots...

Eh, I don't get off on porn as much as I used to. Conventional porn gets boring, and the rest is too sick to be a turn on. Almost everything I learned about sex growing up was from my dad's Playboys

I can hardly believe it. I'm certain that Americans (especially young Americans) are much more likely to hint at sex related things (or even say it explicitly) than Poles, for example.

im with this guy....its just the baby boomer generatoin that are still pissing and moaning about it so it seems like we are uncomfortable about it.

edit: and today i found a porn pic that looks like a friend of mine...so thats kinda disturbing...even more disturbing is that she wanted to know if the porn star was hot

wow...

Si, I agree with you guys that it is the baby boomer generation which is very uptight about sex, but again, they are the ones currently running the country.

The bible thumping about the moral decay of the country, etc, etc just never ends...it's a dominating theme in American society. Think about the Janet Jackson superbowl incident...

Why, for heavens sake, was there such an uproar?

I was in Paris when the incident happened and the french were just laughing themselves silly at our outrage of a 3 second flash of a breast. Of course, they have giant 12 foot posters every ten feet or so in their metro stations of women in underwear or half nude. Nudity to them is not a big deal. It's natural enough as is sex. They aren't really phased by it.

They are however dumbstruck at the violence of American films and the such. They cannot understand how we can so actively crave and demand movies where the body counts must be astronomical and the more intense and gruesome the torture, the bigger the hit the movie is in the box office.

They, and I would say the majority or Europeans, are much more comfortable with sex, just as we as a culture, are much more comfortable with violence.

heh...your right. Americans are so obsessed with people getting blown up, and shot up but we just can't handle seeing bare boobs.

I didn't get a PM from you? o_O

If this is about anything I said in The Bitch Thread...I reallllllllly really don't want to discuss politics right now.

People were shoving their opinions down my throat left and right on campus today (huge anti-war protest, complete with hippies beating bongos)..while I'm just trying to get my degree. I've had it, you can say.
