Am I the only one who thinks that there's waaaaay too much Ale in the VS catalogues? Looking at the last one I got, it's at least 70% her  <_< . It kinda pisses me off. She's cute, but so waifish.

Ale has always been in the catalogs a lot. Mostly for the PINK line and clothing.

but you know, is it just me? or am i noticing that a lot of old v.s. models (heidi, tyra, etc)  are fading away  and new, boring models are in the catalogs?

i got a new victoria's secret catalog a while ago and was VERY sad to find look-a-like, waif,  boring models,  and only 3 ADRIANA PICTURES.

the new models are like the ones from those Prada and Luella runway shows.. 

PERSONALLY, i prefer more glamorous, womanly, unique, exotic, (particulary BRAZILILAN) models with a bright personality...

i guess models aren't what they used to be...

I don't think they have to be brazillian, but they oughta be sexy with a little personality. That freakin redhead makes the catalogue look like child porn. And then theres all those weird, typical masculine emaciated high fashion models with cold stares. Arg.

Its called marketing, nobody wants to be put down by the sight of these incredible looking women, its intimidating. The reason that there Pink line is so successful is because it is marketed to ordinary looking women, makes them feel that they can look as good as the girls in the catalog. Thats why its one of there most succesful lines ever (read it somewhere).

It's the opposite for me...personal taste I suppose...I'm the most attracted to what Ana, Adriana, Laetitia and Ale are wearing because I find them to be the most beautiful...the weird/homely looking models completely put me off and I've never bought anything they've worn

US vogue is barely putting models on their covers anyway....adriana's commercial-ness decreases her chances even more.

liya kebede was on the cover in april i think...and i think thats mostly coz she's a goodwill ambassador. b4 that u had the 9 models on the cover altogether (sept 2004)...and damn if i know what models were on it b4 that...maybe gisele....MAYBE

non-US editions of vogue tend to put less celebrities on their covers and more models.

edit: just for ur 411 (lol) it was christy turlington who was the model to make the cover b4 the 9 models in the sept 2004 issue....that was in october 2002 :|
