Haha, well we don't have a Fat Thursday here, but my point was that my friend wanted any excuse not to go to the gym. So I told her that it was Fat Thursday and she didn't even ask me what I was talking about. It was just a reason for her to eat a lot and not work out You crazy Europeans.

Fat Thursday is a great reason to eat more donuts in one day than you usually eat during 3 months or so :|

And it was a "Professional Development Day" in my district.

The teachers go to school and discuss how they can become

better teachers (waste of time on their part) & I get to stay

at home and eat. Wicked, right?

Lucky. I used to love those days. I never quite worked out what the teachers spent the whole day doing. I think that all mine used to just go down to the pub - I saw them that at 10am on one "teacher training day".

I've had a week like that. Everything, apart from a half-hour presentation, got cancelled. It was kind of unfortunate though because most of my friends still had to go in for things and now next week is really busy. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Um... Its just really annoying. It can be really highpitched and shrill sometimes,

but then I have a really mellow, sarcastic tone to my voice thats annoying as hell.

and then go out to a pub... Because they sure aren't becoming better teachers!

I don't know whether I'll be on here that much next week ; it all depends on whether any more of my seminars get cancelled and on how motivated I am to do extra bits and bobs. Am sure that I'll pop in now and then and will still post a bit.

It doesn't sound like you're accent is all that bad, it just sounds like you have an expressive voice. There's nothing wrong with that. Oh, and sarcasm's good . . . Is a sarcastic tone a prerequisite for working at McDonald's and other fast food outlets, by the way? If it's any consolation. I think that I have voice modulation problems ; I find it really difficult to whisper and my singing is just . . . :|

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I have a cross between a South African &

Canadian accent. Which is also weird. I often catch myself saying

words with such a Canadian drawl and I find it so irritating

whisper. Generally, she was just making bitchy comments and being a

fake, insecure attention whore. But she had the mic in her hands and ON

so everyone heard her It was so funny because she deserved it
