^Aweeeee, hey

I think that death is one of the most fascintating topics possible. I mean, really, it's always original. It's always a onetime limited engagement, and (depending on your theology) it's either the defining moment of existence or the final corporeal sensation in the universe's most remarkable coincidence. How can anyone not be consumed by that?! Fuck, I could talk about this forever

the universe's most remarkable coincidence? that's a romantic way of referring to it, and somewhat anthropocentric

You think so? Go ahead and psychoanalyze me
Ahaha, wow! I thought you were What the hell kinda social circles are you in?

Um, the daily drawings were sort of a new years resolution attempt to stimulate my creativity and shit. Also, I often go through phases where I don't draw at ALL simply because I'm too busy and lazy, so I was trying to prevent that as well

No, no. I really don't roll in high circles. In the "general chat" section I suppose that I am prone to hyperbole and at times really can be full of guff, but generally outside of there I'm pretty genuine, I would say.

I guess that the events that I attend are simply associated with my location in the country, some of the people I know and the subject that I do - it's pretty middle-class comparably. Last week was rather busy - the lounge suit has taken a bit of a battering. I don't really like lounge suits though; they're an uncomfortable compromise, I would much rather just be casual or go the whole hog and don evening wear. <_< Morning dress though. . . . :|

I probably am a bit of a "toff", in truth (maybe 'wannabe "toff"'; I'm kind of on the cusp - looking critically, I fulfill the stereotype, to an extent, but lack the public school background).

In my experience, resolutions are good but rarely last beyong January. You're doing well if you're still going in March.

To be honest, I only understood, like, 70% of this post

Maybe its the difference in vernacular, or maybe its because I just woke up... But anyway, I'll try and reply

All of those social events did sound pretty upperclass because, seriously, what the hell is a lounge suit

Yeah, don't think too highly of me, though. I had another failed resolution not to eat McDonalds, which was completely unrealistic considering that I work there 3-4 times a week But, in my defence, I don't eat a lot of McDs. I can't really, considering that I'm veg and my mother is a nutrionist <_<

Funny commercials

All I eat are vegetables and fruits

that's good (Y) I feel like I eat too little vegetables Oh wait, today I haven't eaten any fruit, too :|

Have you seen new Lacoste ads? The ones by Terry? I thought they were going to be REALLY different than previous ones.

But they are just "normal and happy"

oh, you know what? Everytime this week when I shop in this little market close to my place, they had Lady Gaga's "Poker face", like, almost always And I shop there at different hours....

Yeah, I had an 'interesting' social programme over the weekend.

Is there anything you would like me to clarify? By lounge suit, I pretty much mean "suit". A dinner suit (evening wear; black tie) is more like one of your "tuxedos" (I really quite detest that word ). Rarely one gets to wear white tie, which is really rather swish. A "toff" is someone who is rather posh or upper-class, it comes from the phrase "toffee-nosed".

To be honest, any person who manages to take a resolution past January commands some kind of respect, in my book at least.

If it's any consolation, I broke my fast food duck - I binged at Burger King midweek. How do you resist the temptation of fast food?!

How do you reconcile working at McDonald's and being a vegeterian, by the way? Have you always been a vegetarian?

But I have to say, the 3rd is my favourite. I love Egon Schiele!

Maybe next year!

No problem, btw. I love talking to you!

Yeah, I've seen the new ads. I agree with you, they're still very Lacoste I went into American Apparell the other day, and Terry shoots their ads. Anyway, the guy I was with was like "I feel so uncomfortable in this store! These ads look like child porn." And I thought that it was so bizarre for him to say that! I mean, the ads seemed so softcore to me! Maybe I've just become desensitized because I've seen Terry's most hardcore semi-pornographic work. I have such a high tolerence for explicit material, it's ridiculous

Oh god, could you imagine working at that market and just hearing Poker Face all day long? :|

I knew you would appreciate those pics.

You've pretty much clarified all that I didn't get. I was also just half-asleep, because now I'm reading the post and it generally makes sense. Its funny that the term "toff" comes from "toffee-nosed" Its always interesting to learn the roots of common sayings.

Resolutions are really difficult to keep :|

Something that I found to be so interesting: In January, we were totally dead at work! Sales went down and it felt like we had no customers. All because of New Years Resolutions. But, of course, everything is back to normal now and we're constantly busy because people broke their resolutions. Weird how we can see the effects of New Years Resolutions on the fast food industry, eh?

This post is probably going to get very long, now

I can justify working at McD's and being veg because I don't consume the products. Sure, I give the burgers to customers, but they would get them anyway. If I do think about it, I realize that McD's is responsible for the death of millions of animals and that should make me feel bad, but it doesn't. Supermarkets and clothing stores are also responsible. Everyone is responisible. No matter what, animals are going to die in mass amounts because people are always going to consume them. I'm not delusional and I know that I'm not going to impact any aspect of animal husbandry by choosing not to eat meat or work at McDonalds because I'm just one person. I work at McDonalds because it's the only place that will hire a 15 year old (where I live, anyway) and I choose not to eat meat simply because I love animals too much. I'm not trying to change the world or anything, but I believe that I make a lot of effort to help animals in my life and I don't think that I'm directly resposible for hurting them by working at McDanks.

I've been a vegetarian all my life because my mom is actually a vegan nutritionist and I was raised by her so she never fed me meat. I'm not vegan, though, because I have consumed dairy products (I love cheesecake, I'm sorry.) I could have unintentionally eaten something with meat in it, but not that I'm aware of. My grandmother tried to sneak meat into my meals numerous times (she finds it tragic that her hippie of a daughter refuses to give it to us) but I can always tell. I'm also not too anal about stuff like cross-contamination, either. I can sit at a table with anyone who is eating meat and I don't look down on carnivores at all. I try very hard not to push my beliefs onto other people. That said, I do think that vegetarians are better and I will shit on anyone who eats KFC.

What I ate yesterday was: semlina with milk and tea in the morning, at school 2 sandwiches with cheese and multivitamin juice, buckwheat and fruit juice, some chocolates...and...and....I can't remember, maybe nothing more :| But I ate my dinner around 6:30 PM, so.... And after midnight, I was dancing :| to the music video and watched some concerts on MTV Hits a bit.

I haven't seen AA ads, but I heard such comments as: they look like child porn before. But, your friend probably haven't seen Terry's s/s 2008 for Tom Ford esp. fragrance ones :|

If you have such tolerance...hmm....check new/not new eds from Self Service magazine. I think in either their s/s 2009 or f/w 2008 there is a photoshoot with Lydia Hearst....well, Terry works a lot for SS.....SS had also this hot ed with Natasha Poly in their s/s 2008 issue. It really is  how can such skinny girl be so sexy but it was by Alasdair something talking about nudity&controversy in photography, you should also check "Nunhead" editorial from POP f/w 2008 (with Magdalena, Jourdan etc.).

:| yeah but I remember you saying some time ago here "Hot'n'cold" is played at your work around 3 times an hour! :|

I just love how great she looks with short blonde hair..

They always show "explicit" ads late, even though the CK ad is nothing near explicit.

Yeah... I love this CK commercial, the slow motion in it.... What's so vulgar about it?

Well fruit juice counts as fruit!

I've actually shown my friend Terry World before, so he's definitely been exposed to hardcore work by Terry Hes just not as used to it I'll check out all of those shoots later. Probably tomorrow. Because I'm quite busy at the moment You have a spectacular memory for these sort of things :| I used to be like that, but I fell off the fashion bandwagon about a year ago when I went away for dance Maybe I'll get back into it during the summer Hopefully

That's funny about the resolutions and their effect on McDonald's.

Sounds like you've thought things through vegeterianism-wise. (Sorry, that question probably came across as a bit 'pointed'. ) Have you been working there for long now or are you still relatively new? You find it alright then?

I'm really not a big fan of Colonel Sanders.
