We get lots of carbs even when we avoid them. Carbs are everywhere!
Come on, I speak good english here compared to many other english speaking members. How well can you spell Protein in Finnish? (it's easy, Proteiini). I didn't mention vitamins because they are self-evident.
I suggest you and Andrea to test avoiding carbs and eating more protein. You should feel better. When you eat protein your desire of sugary snacks is diminished.

just try and get a couple of early nights . . . hope you feel better and less tired later
diet has no real influence . . . unless you stock up on tea, coffee, coke, red bull or whatever.

Last evening I felt very tired 11pm-12am. Usually I am not tired so early.
Sleep more, drink water and eat food with proteine (meat, fish,...) and anything
which keeps your blood sugar high for a long time. Avoid carbs (especially potatos).

on school nights I usally get a good 8 hours sleep
on Fridays and Saturdays it's probably cut in half

I grow tired of your accusations.....geez I was just saying, well congrats for turning a normal comment into a negative one!...well your suggestion isn't the best you know?!?....blah why would I want to spell Protein in Finnish? (plus about the Protein spelling i was just messing..*looks at the smiley*)Well guess what? my friend went on that low carb high proteing shit! she did lose weight,but she was always tired and didn't feel great at all. So plz I don't want to hear it.

Your friend lost weight/felt tired because she did not ate enough protein. This just shows this kind of diet is good if you want yo lose weight. People suffer from overweight because they eat too much carbs and sugar (and don't exersice).
To me this works and that's why I recommend Andrea to try it. That's all.

Atkins diet is extreme. Don't drop carbs completely! Find the best balance!
is anyone advocating the Atkins diet (high protein, low carb)?? don't do it unless you want kidney damage, bad breath (due to excretion of acetone) or want to increase your chances of colon cancer, due to high red meat intake. atkins attempts to simulate the hypoglycaemic, ketoacidotic state of untreated diabetics which doesn't sound very good for you and prob isn't very good for you. your body thinks that it's starving so it digests proteins and uses ketone bodies for energy . . .atkins is good in theory but buggers up your kidneys in the long run and you can't keep down your weight unless you adhere to an atkins-esque plan afterwards which sucks . . . or so i've been told by professors and people . . .
i like dr atkins but i hate his diet and his dietary empire. . .

Dr. Atkins never intended for his diet method to be published (he doesn't want anyone to try out his diet method). It was his greedy colleagues and the others in his foundation who is responsible for making the diet method so popular. The same goes with Jesus. The last thing that Jesus wanted to do was to start an organised religion. But, Paul of course, had to disobey and start Christianity.

After that, my cheeks concave inwards.

If you really follow it, the maximum amount of carbohydrates you can eat a day is only 2 slices of bread. I eat like 4-5 slices of bread a day. The rest is all meat.

No. I am just a chubby bastard.I did not do any exercise while on that diet,
I went on the Atkins for 3 months and lost 7kg.

The only diet I follow is the balanced diet..2 slices of bread?!?! That would kill me....I eat alot but I don't put on anything..thank u God!! I'm kinda a health freak as well I only care about how healthy my body is....but i still eat alot. ![]()

The best diet is what makes you feel good. Most people eat too much carbs and too little protein. Atkin's diet means too much protein and too little carbs. Personally I find it difficult to cut carbs because carbs are everywhere!
