irenistiQ just contacted me to say that she keeps on getting "can't find the server" messages when she tries to log onto BZ.I suggested trying another browser, clearing her cookies, etc... but apparently she's tried all that already.
So I guess one of our tech-savvy admins will have to look into the problem...
And here I thought you were tech-savvy ![]()
This one exceeds my meager abilities, I'm afraid. ![]()

I got a question about the ignore function from a member. Since I've never used it myself, I might as well ask you guys.
Does it completely ignore all posts that user makes or does it just void their contents? ![]()

^ LOL...I have actually used it in the past
It shows you the person posted but it doesn't display the content ![]()

Okay, I'll let them know. ![]()

fyi, upon request josh's name is now "lovely angel"....he dropped the "my" ![]()

Scriptgirl is acting really annoying in Noemie Lenoir's thread. She accuses members of reposting when they post HQ/untagged versions of posts that only were posted in LQ/MQ/tagged versions before. And she refuses to accept the fact that most people (if not all people) on here wouldn't consider those a repost. I've asked her to stop harrassing other members with her self-imposed rules but to no avail...
She's also quite bitchy when someone does really repost a picture, even when it is a single one in a post of 10+ pictures. <_<
Anyone want to help me out with some advice on this one? ![]()

kick her ass?

Like ban her?
I guess I could just give her a warn for harassment of the other members or something. ![]()

scriptgirl is a bitch on TFS as well. I wish she'd just fade into internet oblivion
I just checked the thread and I see what you mean. If she continues with her bullshit you are more than welcome to raise her warning level. She does it again, you can set her posts on invisible or disable her posting capabilities for a set amount of time. She's had enough informal verbal warnings, and quite frankly, she's lucky she got that.
Jimmy -- re: Josh -- he already changed his name from My Angel --> My Lovely Angel. So I don't see why he was allowed to change his name again. The only allowances in effect for more than one name change or a name change before the 3-month limit is 1) the name was misspelled 2) letters are changed from upper to lowercase or vice versa. My Lovely Angel --> Lovely Angel counts as a second name change and it needs to be reversed b/c it's not allowed. Nothing against him, but the rule was put into place to keep people from changing their names constantly and on a whim. If we let him do it, then we're going to have to allow everyone to do it XD

It's rather pointless to forbid him from changing his name unless there is good reason.
If he's a troll or has a bad reputation, then yes, by all means, do not allow it. If he's randomly constantly changing names, don't allow it.
Otherwise, why not?

There is a rule in place, that has been in place for well over a year now, that states that you may only change your username ONCE. He changed it...once...already. Therefore, he cannot change it again. Given the fact that some people who changed their name once asked for their names to be changed again and we turned them down, it would be wrong to change his name. As I stated, if we change his then we have to allow the same for everyone.
I'm sorry you weren't around when the rule was established but it is what it is. Now, if you don't agree with it and think it should be changed, you can make an argument for that. But we're not going to go playing favorites, letting some people do this while others can't do it.

Okay, since she completely disregarded my final informal warning and kept on harrassing members in Noemie's thread, I've now added to Scriptgirl's warn level and made it clear to her that the next step was suspending her posting abilities. I really hope she doesn't force me to go there, though.

OS; I know there's a rule, I'm not advocating breaking it (although bending rules within discretion isn't terribly harmful), I'm wondering what's the point of it.
Rules with only a vague basis serve more to annoy than to help.

The reason for that rule was that everyone and their mom was asking to change names on like a weekly basis cuz they didnt think about the screen names before they chose em....when we chose to limit the change...people started to contemplate their changes because they knew they were going to be permanent...plus you also tend to lose track of people that change names all the time...so it was better to create a rule that limited those changes to stop confusion and to stop a ridiculous amount of requests to constantly change usernames

I say suspend her now!!! She has been a bitch since day #1. This is not the first time she accused members of reposting and it probably won't be the last
She used to tell members what not to post b/c she wanted first dibs on posting certain images
We have confronted her many times in the past and each time she ignores us. I would love it if we can ban her, but she hasn't done anything that extreme...yet :avada:

In response to the name change thing, we are not responsible for members' *cough*adolescence*cough* identity crisis. It is their issue to deal w/ in their "real" life---not ours'
Besides, there are a lot of other things they may change here like their sets and etc ![]()
BTW, I was just making a general statement about my opinions on this topic---not attacking any specific member(s) s:yes:

Re: Josh's name change.
I completely forgot about his first name...as that was over a year ago at least...I think. We surely can let this one slip by since I already did it and it's been a few days already, no?

That's when we bring 007 in. I'm sure he can take care of her. ![]()
