It's not that common now. But it was medically related. I had phimosis, which at that time was always surgically treated when it occured with children. A circumcision takes away most if not all of the problems associated with it.

As to girls reaction to it, I'm pretty sure all of the girl's I've been with never had a circumcised guy before, but none of them seemed to mind.

Lucky? Because, more skin = more sensation. I already have plenty of skin, and sex feels great, but if I weren't circumcised, I do think it would feel better.
