I'm not opposed to that at all, but the recruitment of members via the subtle bashing of this forum is more than just irritating, IMO.

Hmm.. I think we have let people post adverts for their forums before, so that they weren't soliciting through PM's. But those people weren't trying to draw members by saying this place sucks, so it's a little different I guess.

I doubt he'll get many people to leave, or see his point of view through this thread. Maybe we can leave it unless he starts to get seriously upfront with his bashing, for now it seems subtle enough to not cause too much trouble I think, the thread will probably just die like it should.

I know he'll soon realize that his forum is going to blow hardcore, and if he wants to stay here he knows where to find it.

Since marduk told me on IM to go ahead and capt earlier post leads me to believe he would support it, i'm going ahead with it.

What do you guys think about cleaning up some of the dead image links from some of these threads? I was looking at some of them that have been around a while and some have post after post with dead thumbnails and/or "user posted image" links that go nowhere. It makes the threads look trashy, IMO.

What do you say we delete these posts when we come across them?
