Brenna posted this link http://www.hustlingtheleft.com in the "Breast size and sex" thread. The last pic on the bottom of the page is pornograhic, should I warn her?http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?s=&...ndpost&p=392141
I wonder if she even knew it was there. Probably just best to PM her and tell her to glance over a page (especially something like Hustler) and make sure it doesn't have stuff like that on it.

haha she's just racking them up today isn't she? :|
hmm, i have no idea if you should warn her...i mean, in that very thread i think a few people mentioned that playboy isn't posted because porn isn't allowed on the site, so judging by that she should have known better. there's also the possibility that she genuinely didn't notice that pic at the bottom and was just trying to post the article... not sure ![]()
Okay, thanks Avada.
edit: and Nicole
PM sent

Is anyone opposed to me warning aznman007?
He and inlovingcolor were getting into an arguement and I asked that it stopped but he didn't.
http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?s=&...ndpost&p=392168 - I said stop in the post below.
http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?s=&...ndpost&p=392745 - Then he does this.
No opposition from me. ![]()

You should only have to say stop once. So go for it.
After sending the PM to Brenna about the porn image on the website that she posted yesterday she posted this:

All I told her was that there was an porographic image on the webpage and that in the future she should "glance" over the page before posting. Why the hell did she go off like that? Did I say something wrong?

Jesus Christ.

What the hell. ![]()

hahaha unexpected
I just hate to see members leave over stuff like that.

And I just...I can't even form a coherent sentence about this. There are really no words for that.

It's not the first person to express this, and it's common that when there are a few expressing something like this, there are others that are feeling some degree of agreement but not stating it. Should we consider modifying our methods or stick with it?
Yeah, get rid of all the rules. Hotlinking, porn, nudity, huge sigs, bring it on. ![]()

I woudl get rid of everything except sig sizes and porn, everything else is game. Say no to censorship ![]()

Which is funny since this is about porn to begin with.

Here's my feeling on the matter. Taha mentioned us being too strict once before, and I actually discussed this with Mike, though I don't know if he's read my PM yet, and I actually happen to agree with Taha. HOWEVER (and this is a big however lol) I don't think the problem is our enforcing of the rules necessarily but the rules themselves. Now, just to clarify, I don't actually have a problem with any of the rules that are in place now (except the nudity rule) but if the rules are there, then yes, I think we have to enforce them - consistently - whether the members like it or not. If we are being too strict, then the rules themselves are too strict because for the most part (except for a few instances) I think we have very simply been applying the rules we've set up and telling people to stick by them. And I don't see how that in and of itself is a problem.
My only suggestion is this: we could ease up on the warn system. Perhaps only warn for instances of flaming/harassment (either members or staff) and repeated instances of disregarding the other rules - such as nudity, hotlinking, etc. Basically what I'm saying is that no matter what, I don't think people should ever be allowed to go around insulting other people on this board, and I don't think people should be allowed to slide if they're constantly breaking the same rules over and over again after we've asked them not to.

I've made comments on this before, so I don't really see the point in rehashing it. If people think the rules are too strict, maybe we need to post something and ask people what they think on our rules and the enforcement of those rules.
Or we need to rewrite them completely. Of course we tried that before and no one had any commentary then.
