The only thing that bothers me is that it's tough to assume that pornographic pics will be posted. But on the other side of the coin, one can also say that a cameltoe thread is porngraphic by itself and this is not the type of website for that sort of thing.

hehe, um yea, so the descriptions are great but there is a sligh issue now, revenue has gone way down since these ads only pay like 7c a click instead of the 15+c a click for the more generic ads that we had before. Jimmy your the adsense wizzard, got any ideas apart from just reverting back to how it was before?

This is a random idea, and I'm not sure how well it would work, but in relation to the google ads, perhaps we could offer people advertising space? I think lime-light does something like that. I would have to check to be sure. There's also the idea of donations, though we could still have ads run and just have a little "donate" thing through paypal.

The descriptions only change the ads on the front page, not for any other page on the site. I think the change in revenue is just a coincedence. I've seen a drop in revenue on my sites as well. It's just a matter of what the advertisers are paying at the time since we are making a percentage.

Paid advertising is a good idea too but we would have to incorporate that somewhere in the header without making it any bigger. It's already pretty cluttered so we would have to think about making it more tidy and uniform, including the logo, menu, ads and competition winner's buttons.

In regards to making it tidy and uniform, I've got a few skins in the works that has it set up so the google ads are incorporated into the header itself as is everything else. The donation and paid advertising could be added in as well. I haven't gotten to one that I like yet, but it's getting there.

Random information found while wondering and doing a bit of research.

The only user group able to see invisible members are the admins (or in some cases root admins, if that's the "top" group). If we wanted this to be changed, i.e. make it so the mods could see invisible members, there's a mod available that augments the code of the board.

Just randomly sharing that. Going back to updating websites now.

I think they mean that new photobucket thing where you can create animated lines of images that you can scroll through. It's either flash or DHTML. Stamps are uuuuh *goestolook* really ugly. But they put four images together in a sort of block thing and it's animated (flash or DHTML again), flipping through the four images.

I'm pretty sure HTML is disabled, so DHTML would be. I don't know if you can post flash or not. I've never tried.

Maybe you could PM her and ask her to remove the avi, explaining to her that you never intended for it to be saved to the gallery in the first place.

I think we should remove those old avs. At least the ones with names on them. It's really...weird to see people toting around avatars with other usernames on them.
