Chili cheese dogs

You're not a fan of seafood? Really? I love seafood Shrimp fish lobster etc... it's all so good I've never had oysters though, I do wanna try one day.

And what are your feelings on ranch Joe? I personally can't live without it

Well, I wouldn't say I hated seafood, but not a favorite of mine. Ironically fishing is one of my favorite things though, even though I just throw them back if I'm alone . My feelings on ranch are very strong I can put it on most things and it can make even veggies I don't usually like edible .

Yes yes yes. Her amazing wonderful thread here

Thanks for the link Jennks i'll get back to you after i look at her more.

And Zomg that is one of my favorite alina pics I have it in like 3 different views 4 if i'm not mistaken but dam That pic drove me nuts for a whole week once :|

I can clearly see why :brows: That picture is gorgeous, I guess it would make anyone just

I'm sure you do the same to the slovakian men eh Jennks?

For sure you don´t mean I made them ? Because no, mostly I make them laugh

There's something important I'm not sure we're clear on Limer, that being, how do you feel about pizza and that's your favorite ? Or of course whether you even like it at all is no less important of course. As for me, I've yet to turn one down and I like a large variety of toppings and combinations of toppings, but what I order, buy or make if its just me or my general ideal or favorite is deep dish or pan/thick crust, medium sauce, jalapenos, extra pepperoni, extra olives and extra cheese .

Joe I LOVE pizza, oh my pizza makes me but I love the simple one, here it´s called Prosciutto or Prosciuto Funghi or what... dunno for sure, but it´s the tomato stuff, cheese, ham and field agarics. For the last year I´ve been especially crazy for pizza, dunno why

^Sure you can - in fact there are a bunch on that menu up there ("dulce" means sweet). Sweet empanadas aren't quite as common as the savoury ones, but - evidently - they exist!

Dulce de leche is our national dessert, it's a kind of runny caramel that we slather over most other cakes, pastries, pancakes, ice cream etc... So, stands to reason they'd pump it into an empanada! Membrillo is a quince paste, it's popular here - but most popular in Spain where they serve it with Manchego cheese. The other ones are variations using these two stock fillings.

Although I was tad dismissive of Limey's question(!), "empanada" originally comes from empanar which is just to wrap in bread - so anything passes really.

Didn't notice "dulce" written there, but it's not like I knew what does it mean

It looks delicious :| yet very familiar I checked that Wikipedia's note about Dulce de leche suggests to look up krówki... although at first it reminded me of masa kajmakowa (I even found some thread about what's the difference between Dulce de leche and masa kajmakowa....)

Ok, I need to get out of this thread, Baron's posts make me way too hungry :|

^Field agarics are just common 'white' mushrooms aren't they? It's the fly agarics you want Joe - they're the ones the Smurfs live under and are massively psychoactive!

I think that masa kajmakowa stuff is what I'd call 'condensed milk'? Sweetened milk with lots of air taken out of it and replaced with sugar... Actually you can make a kind of rudimentary dulce de leche by baking a tin of that in the oven. (Y)

The krówki things look delicious - are they another sweet little thing to come out of Poland?

Yeah, pretty much. Although I have to admit while googling it, I found that kajmak/kaymak and masa kajmakowa are 2 quite different things

Yeah, they are, they are sooo good and very sweet, so you must be careful about/with(??) your teeth

Looool :D these are called "muchotrávka" in Slovakia and those field agarics "šampiňóny". I guess white mushrooms is the right name, ´m not really sure Agaricus bisporus, yeah

my father used to bring us home lots of krowki from Poland - now I can´t eat them, but I loved them when I was a kid.

My response to all of that:

I'm hungry. And Layla wins the contest for best looking food 2nd place Baron. But like hell if i know how to pronounce either of the native words Jennks or Lay said

@ Joe, no not really. They NHL has done a pretty shitty job calling penalties since the new CBA was erected (ha he said erected very funny ) The worst part is though they try to eliminate what they call a "Blind Side Hit" where the player can't see him but gets killed (not literally) yet someone can hit the guy from behind and receive nothing. Which doesn't make sense to me

Great about the rules, I don't know, the combinaton of the owner vs. player disputes as well as the new quarterback oriented rule every year is starting to bother me about the NFL . As to the candy though I bet that third one is the best .

The problem with the NFL is they wanted for a bit a mixture of good old time football you know back in the 70's but have the safety of a new league more appealing with less injuries. But as we've clearly seen that doesn't work. The QB ya very important most important? That's for debate IMO but still. The mixture doesn't work now it's too safe for me, i can understand the head shot rule but still it happens sadly leave it alone And now most likely a lockout over what? It's a silly game they're playing and everyone is gonna lose sadly

Yeah , though ironically, the quarterback's importance over the years has been enhanced by the rule changes themselves :| . It started out as more of a running and defense oriented game, but once they started passing oriented rules, quarterback stats went up drastically and as a result, more quarterback oriented game plans ect. It all started off with pass interference in the late 70s. Some believe it was one of the original rules of the game, but originally, defensive backs were allowed to freely jam receivers up and down the field. Once pass interferance was created, you could only jam the within 5 yards. This increased quarterback stats tremendously. In the 80s, they really didn't do any position specific rule changes, but it was said that you could no longer strike a player in the neck, which was fair enough. In the 90s, there was the introduction of the neutral zone infraction of course, but around the mid 90s, they decided to enforce pass interferance with more emphasis than ever to make it like it is now. In the 21st century, more emphasis than ever was made toward the quarterback individually to the point where now there are plays where even an inadverted touch on the helmet can result in a first down. So the importance of the quarterback has been greatly enhanced by the rule changes. But the thing is, running backs have shorter careers than quarterbacks and no rule has ever been passed for them. If it had just been about safety across the board, I wouldn't have minded the rule changes as much. Its really unfair to the players in a lot of ways in that you enforce such soft rules on such tough guys and probably the most diverse athletes in the world where you have guys with track level speed on one side and probably the most active 300+ pounders in the world on the other. As to the money thing, the issue is that the owners feel that the last bargaining agreement 5 some odd years ago was more in favor of the players and that the players basically need to pay back some of said money. The players on the other hand argue that since the sport is making more money than ever and they have made the owners billionaires, whey should they have to give them back more money? Especially since all the players aren't millionaires and most have short careers whereas the owners make far more money before, during and long after their careers. So yeah, both will lose in their own way. Though I'm more bothered by the rule changes than that admittedly. Then even if they brought in replacement players I would be torn because I would be glad for them to temporarily live their dream on one end, but wouldn't want to support the league in their foolishness on the other end.

I knew pierogi would win you over with some help of krówki

Jennka the ones you posted with "cows", they are the best, the original ones!! Btw is it a coincidence that I saw them today, even though when I went to a supermarket I wasn't looking for sweets

donbot-when I saw a pack of "krówki" in a shop today, it also had an English name on it-"cream fudge".
