^ Ha, sounds about right. And here's a small read for you. Thought I'd share the below since your kind is apparently no longer welcomed at Costco. Good ol' proud U-S-of-A

Americans Fed Up With Canadians Taking Over Local Costco

Residents of Bellingham, Wash., are fed up with Canadian shoppers who cross the border and buy up the goods at the local Costco.

Canadian residents are driving less than 30 miles across the U.S. border and taking full advantage of the favorable exchange rate when buying food, gas and other items. Right now, Canada's dollar is much stronger than the U.S.'s. Gas is more than a buck less in the U.S., and milk is nearly $5 a gallon less.

Many British Colombia license plates have been popping up in the Costco lot, preventing locals from finding spots, according to many Bellingham residents. Videos have been posted to YouTube showing long lines at checkout and a mad dash for cheap American milk in the store.

Things have gotten so bad for local residents that they have started a Facebook page with the pleading title, "Bellingham Costco Needs a Special Time Just for Americans."

"It's like the border dropped 25 miles. Americans should be able to find parking in their own country," reads one post.

As of Tuesday morning, the Facebook page has more than 2,900 "Likes" and tons of debates between Americans and Canadians.

"It's like going through Disneyland when you come to Costco here," said one woman.

A senior vice president at Costco told CBC News that anyone with a Costco membership can shop at any store in the world.

As long as the exchange rate stays in favor of the neighbors to the north, the residents of Bellingham, Wash., can expect more of the same.

Brilliant isn't it? People could care less about all the wars, our economy, education, healthcare...

but the straw the broke the camels back was taking our milk and parking spots

^ I advise you NOT to do so! Other then purchasing toilet paper and paper towels in bulk quantities...the rest is overkill in packaging. Well maybe the beer and spirits too, good deals on that. Heck, maybe you should get a membership now that I carefully think about it here There is literally something for everyone. I just wouldn't go there for my grocery shopping. Do you really need a 5 pound bucket of Mayo, 100 count waffle box, more corn in a can than in all of Iowa?

Got to love US subsidies no? The American tax payer, paying for lower food prices so you Canadians can eat and fill up the tank But in return...thank you for the mark down on our fav prescriptions, now grandpa can have a boner for half the cost of what it used to be...jeeee thanks Canada

But putting all jokes aside. I love how the minority seem to always make the headlines in their dumbasery of thought. Hell, the vast majority of people are ecstatic about the influx of Canadian shoppers provided the much needed revenue many towns would KILL for at this moment in time. And since when has it EVER been easy to find parking at Costco? Really when? But I must admit...the milk run the second a pallet was bought down for purchase was EPIC. Three layers of double-jug milk containers gone in less than 3 min....Canadians sure do love there calcium and vitamin D. LOL, but alas, anytime Americans feel threatened about ANYTHING in general do we start babbling on how our freedoms are somehow endangered. I hope more Americans see how our own doing will eventually be our downfall if we keep the minority in dumbasery the main headline for long :| Ironic isn't it? But I wonder, how are the business fairing on the Canadian border with so many heading south for their to-do-list?

Overall it's not a huge group that does it in comparison to the population so the news/stats are a bit skewed as usual.

For example, i went to Mcd's on monday during my trip down to lynnwood to get a sausage mcmuffin a drink + 2 sausage and egg mcmuffins was just over 10 dollars, that's easily a 13-15 dollar meal here. Sonic i got a large slushy for my sister and a sunday for myself and it was a dollar 98, yes we did that at the half price time, but even then to get that woulda been four dollars at regular pricing. The clothing is about the same save the taxes gas is waaayy cheaper so it makes sense

But more to answer your question, they aren't really suffering, the minor stores more so in vancouver proper ya they do a bit but that's more so with the fucking construction that has been going for 5+ years constantly with no end in site to the construction. And the taxes which are supposed to "help us" are being cancelled finally which just made it way harder for us to buy anything it was 13% on everything HST harmonized sales tax which mainly effected food items restaurants groceries etc... alot still was at 13% GST and PST government and provincial, add that in with the carbon tax on gas which makes it even harder and the fact alberta and washington/cali oil fields are getting hit harder then ever the past year it's very hard sometimes to get much around here so it's easier to make the trip to Washington to get a few things

Heck, the news is so skewed and biased here I don't take much of what they say into light. (FOX + CNN + $$$ + SPECIAL INTRESTS = DISTORTED FACTS)

Anyhow, good to hear that local merchants aren't suffering from all that money migrating southward. And as far as all those purchase comparisons between both countries...just simple economics coming into play with peoples purchasing power as usual. Now you see why people over here aren't too fond of socializing medicine and taxing the heck out of every segment of our economy to pay for the endless entitlements. Let markets do their thing and it's funny how economies unravel for the better. Of course, there is much more to this then a simple tax and trip to Costco for cheap milk.

And holy crap dude...now I understand why u don't visit the female model thread on BZ anymore. After today's Behati thread disaster I think I've had it for a while...insane how mental some people go.

Yeah, I know and I'm big fan of his, I was just reacting to the picture itself . I had just a radom lame question . I hear that most of Canada is considered uninhabitable to people. Assuming that someone actually could survive out there, would it be legal to ? At least I would assume there would be no harm in it if no one was using it anyway unless it was for something else that is.

Joe: To answer honestly I'm not sure. It's tough to say some of the mounties and forest rangers are real stickler's for rules others not so much. If it were me and someone wanted to do it by all means as long as they don't harm others. But the actual rules i'm not sure of.

And it is also true most of the Canadian population lives right near a border/fairly close to a border, if you look at a population density map of ours you see how much is really unused...

Well even better Dave, they are going to discontinue the penny here because it costs the mint too much to make. But, researchers say it will cost Canadians roughly 4.3 Billion dollars a year without the penny due to increases in pricing, as compared to costing the mint 500? or 50 mil a year. Don't ask me.

You see what I mean? I don't even wanna know... I saw some people ranting about dog pictures of a model, i have even less desire to be in that discussion of highly intellectual people...

All the male strippers were booked as well, I called around no-one was available but this guy was? Though his audition tape didn't go so well..

But Jared Leto someone said you liked him, promised to stop by?

But at the end of the day don't be sad Pretty It's been wonderful getting to know you over the past year a lot better so kick back, to the heat to go fuck itself for today, crack open a beer or a bottle (or several) of wine and forget about all your issues today, Happy Birthday Pretty!

Another random question. How good are you guys actually at warcraft ? By that I mean in the general sceme of things. Would you consider yourselves average but enjoying it, above average, good, great or masters? Of course, I don't know enough about it to know whether being a master is more the skill or time put in or what combination of the two it is.
