sorry for not replying sooner. I was in Downtown Chicago with a friend for AMOK(http://www.therandomact.org/)

We passed out 80 sandwiches to the homeless.

It's not Watson being a female that's the problem.(This is a great thing on it's own!)

It's leaving Sherlock a man and the reason behind it.

It truly is looking like it's only for a more (acceptable) Romantic plot.

They are trying to 'fix' a wonderfully perfect relationship that has always had tension between the 2 male leads and make it acceptable, which means casting a woman as a lead instead.

I agree with you that two women would be much better than this actual version - it only screams romance, as you said... and plain one I´ve heard that these BBC series of Sherlock were great... and I always loved the relationship between these two, since I´ve read the books as a little girl

So this was in the New York Times

SO sorry I disappeared like that. I've been busy with AMOK, Supernatural dinners, and Mass Effect 3. I've barely had the energy or time to vote in some comps.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and next time I'll post in this thread before I got on a BZ Hiatus!

I did! 20 sandwiches went pretty quickly so we went shopping.

The Supernatural party didn't have the outcome we were hoping for, only 3 people showed up. But it was still fun and we are doing it again this Friday

Back into my Phantom obsession, is anyone else a Phantom phan?

I've never actually had the honor of seeing the musical live but I knew all the music from a young age. I also loved the book!

They recently did the 25th anniversary performance.

I am picky about my Phantoms, I was never crazy about Michael Crawford(he was brilliant but his voice didn't bespell me)

Hugh Panaro was one I did like a lot but he was so briefly in the role.

Gerard Butler's "voice" did affect me quite strongly but when I found out that he can't actually sing...I cried. I was beyond devastated.

Others didn't really stand out, good voices to be sure but they lacked something.

When they announced Love Never Dies...I was skeptical. I was right to be, the thing was crap. Some of the songs were brilliant but other all..meh.

but!

But!

The Phantom.

That bloody Phantom.

Ramin Karimloo

I was crying every time he sang in that awful musical.

and then they casted him in the Anniversary performance!

He is like a Rock N' Roll Crawford and his acting...just wow.

Watch it!

The Christine is ok, I love her only because they have such fantastic chemistry

and here is one of the best songs in Love Never Dies. He sounds just as amazing live!

Phantom of the Opera? :brows:

FL is in love with this one. I adore it. I´ve heard the old versions and respect them in the highest senses. The whole concept of the musical is purely genius... although I´ve never hard it live (just like you) - and frankly I think I´ll die if I got to it

the main song always gives me goosebumps...

I have to watch the videos you posted.

Have you seen the newest movie?

Which one? There is the one with Gerard Butler(I mentioned it before) or the 25th Anniversary that I also mentioned above.

Here is the title song

It is sadly Sierra's weakest song in the beginning but she makes up for it at the end.

I saw Phantom in June 2010 when I was in London (at Her Majesty's) - with Simon Bowman and Gina Beck as the leads. I remember it was the day after Argentina beat Mexico in the World Cup second round, and I had a hangover! My friend worked in the West End and I met him backstage for lunch and all the props for the subterranean scene were hanging from the rafters... Anyway, It's not like me to show off ( ) - but I thought I'd share!

Sorry guys; something really fuckin' bad happened to a friend of mine and she's been staying with me.

I've been so busy taking care of her that I'm not on BZ much.

Hopefully I can get her back on her feet soon

Could you vote for us here:
