@maddog107 I'm seeing the same issue as @Sunshiine.

When you click on the pics on new posts, instead of seeing the original picture, you get the thumbnail picture instead.

Also when clicking on pictures from older posts, you would normally get a pop-up within the window showing the pic. Now when you click the pic on older posts, it takes you to a next screen of the picture (albeit correctly at full size).

Guessing there is a bug in the code with the latest forum update.

I’ve just encountered a similar problem. I copied an image from another post to insert it into a quote, but it got pasted as a thumbnail without a link to the full-size image. I tried several times, but I still couldn’t manage to copy the image with a hyperlink to the HQ version.

Edit: I tried to upload photos myself and encountered the same problem: I see them in their original size in the attachments, but after they are posted, they can only be opened as thumbnails.

Found this post (https://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/70742-emily-feld/page/85/#findComment-6088217) and decided to find better versions of the images and it eventually worked but took a bit of playing around.

Adding images to the post auto generates the insert\thumbnail image, if you delete that and just have the attached images listed at the bottom of the post you get the full sized images available even if the layout is a bit of a mess (https://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/70742-emily-feld/page/85/#findComment-6088304)

Hmm strange, so it appears that yours are in a lightbox and it doesnt work, mine got posted without thelightbox and work fine. Also if you "inspect" those images it shows the full size image in the sourcecode but its not working as expected.

The lightbox is what seems to be malfunctioning - it picks up the thumnbails and posts them as such:

But the only way to access the full sized pics seems to be to inspect the pic in source code, and you're right, it's there - just no way to get at it otherwise. When you post the actual link to the full image, it does show up, and in the lightbox this time at full size.

But when I click on an older post, it's a direct link to the image, no lightbox...

I'm confused...

I found a workaround to the thumbnail vs. full image issue. While you can still edit the post, make sure you keep the uploaded photos but delete the insertion of the photos into the body of the post. Hit "Save" and it will auto-populate the post again with the full sized images.

@maddog107 once it's fixed, will folks have to re-up content? Or will the fix resolve previous posts?

Yeah I would also like to know that since i'm refraining from posting because of this. If it will be fixed, then i don't mind posting the pics as thumbnails for the moment, i don't want to have to repost everything ...

Testing...

Seems to work = direct links to the full size pics, although there is no lightbox

Thanks but unfortunately it doesn't work well with the posts from the past few days, the image can be enlarged but it becomes impossible to control the position of the image in the post.

That's one downside with this workaround is that the position is subject to the upload sequence. But hey... better than pointing to the thumbnails images.

The only solution I can suggest is to delete the previously uploaded pics from the attachments and rename the pics so that they are arranged in the correct order, or just upload them one by one in the order you need. Not as convenient as it used to be (I still hope it will be fixed), but still better than seeing thumbnails.

The problem is solved. In any case, it did not occur with new posts but only with those from previous days if you tried to replace the images. Thanks for your help. @TheDude2k @danny-19

Still not fully resolved. If you manually insert each pic with the insert button, you still get thumbnails... just tried here.
