actually, in almost all sentient species on the planet, the female is designed to look for one mate and keep it around to protect her babies, but the male is designed to give his seed to as many females as he can.

there are exceptions, like wolves and some spiders, but it makes sense that we still carry this urge around with us, and since it's base, it's hard to shake, hard to make sense of.

Apparently, with primates, there's a corrolation to the relative size of the males' reproductive organ as compared to the total body mass and the amount of cheating by the females. The bigger it is, the more the females cheat on the males.

For instance, gorillas have a relatively small organ considering their size, so most female gorillas don't "cheat" on the males. However, chimps, who are apparently hung like horses, have their females cheating on them very frequently. Apparently, humans are closer to chimps in relative size.

well, I don't know how many jungle primates are given tv's to watch, but I figure Fox News would be the only thing they could understand anyway...

If I walked in on some dude and my girl in the act.... Oh the retribution that would follow. If I didn't know hte guy, he would be safe, I would probably only knock him out fro the sheer madness, but I would let him live. If I knew the guy, I would kill him in the most horrific way possible. I am really uncertain if I would be able to pass judgement on her or not... If it was a guy I knew, I would kill him and make her watch, then uh... yea I'd just shoot her. Guy I didn't know, I would destroy the house, and ruin her life that way. The only reason I would go haywire and kill everyone if I knew the guy is because of trust and respect.
