Dearest MEL,

this is your area. You have been a loyal and one of a kind Bellazon member since forever (it feels like it) and I could never imagine this place without you.

You are kind, special and hard working. You help wherever you can.

Since some time now you are also a moderator, which made me truly happy because you are there for anyone who needs help and you settle dispute whenever it comes up.

You enrich Bellazon.

Your taste is one of a kind and always surprising - I'm so glad that we share some model love. I just want to let you now that you are someone I can count on and this is one main reason why I love this place: it's because of people like you.

So just for the record dear - you're fantastic.

So go out now and celebrate - cause this is what you truly deserve.

I was just thinking about how we hadn't had a new one of these in a while. Anyway, congratulations Mel! This is well deserved, not least because of your tremendously epic avi.

Well, I guess I failed when it came to promising Squeege I'd be the second person to post in this topic.

SUPER-DUPER CONGRATS MEL! You're such a great member at BZ, you're super nice and you have a great taste in models. You totally deserve your own topic and I hope you stick around for quite a while.

OMG OMG OMG I'VE GOT MY OWN THREAD!!

I don't know what to say, I'm so happy and feeling so honored and I just came around here (

for Joe posted a spoiler and I couldn't believe it's true actually, haha

) and saw my name and the thread and read all your comments, and Squeege, thank you so much, you're such a sweet person and I'm truly happy to be with you all, guys it's so good to know you're out there appreciating my moderating attempts and liking me despite me being a known-and-seen-it-all and ... Maan, I'm running out of words and you know that's a premiere! Just ... thank you so much

Haha, Jennka, I'll do my best

... I haven't made up my mind about how to treat my own thread though - what do you guys think? Shall I treat it like a blog? Are you interested in hearing about my life? Since I am a rather private Person I wouldn't want to share too many personal facts, but I could tell you about my "Internet"-Life, I mean, of course I'm the same person, no matter if I'm online or offline my opinion wouldn't change, but in here I could rant in length about the recent choice of models for upcoming campaigns for example and would like to discuss it with whoever wants to chime in or tell you about good sources or post vids or gifs I like and I could share scans I made (if I ever get my harddrive organised that is). In my real life there's only one person interested in the life of "Carmelita" (at least remotely, I hope ) and that's my dear friend Littledesaster. So most people doesn't even know how much time I spent here or how much this place and its people mean to me

Okay then, I'll just make a start :-)

The first thing you really need to know about me is my absolute devotion to Karl Lagerfeld. I literally worship everything he's ever done and even if I don't like it the pure fact that it's from Karl makes me wanna have it. I know it's silly, I know it's absolutely childish, but I just can't do anything about it. So naturally I'm quite interested in who's he working with and naturally I love it when he's working with models I like, giving me the absolutely fangirlish impression of thinking along the same lines ... Do you have any such obsession(s)?

I just read he's doing a collabo with Fossil watches - and guess what, I'm not interested in watches, but the only ones I ever bought are from Fossil! I love their vintage and playful look (though I don't like the ones with the chrystals ... )!

Isn't that a coincidence! Of all the companies producing watches he's going for Fossil! The only company I buy watches from! Haha! And the fangirl in me squeals with delight

It's good they're planning to release those in 2013, should be time enough to save some money. I bought a coat from his latest collaboration with Macy's but I didn't like it and sent it back, my heart was bleeding. I would have kept it if it's been cheaper, but I couldn't afford to lose the money. Maaan, that coat was ugly. But it looked good on the photo. And I got a ..ja, how do you say it in English ... uhm, how's the German term ... mah, wait,... ah, yes, Kleidersack, suit bag, I guess! So, the Karl Lagerfeld suit bag came with it and I kept it. At least some kind of memorabilia for the shrine

So, any thoughts on the recent Chanel casting? Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls are replacing Freja ... <_<

As I was skipping through some threads today, containing Linda, Stephanie, Kristen, Shalom, Karen and Christy as well as a bunch of Newcomers and established girls I kinda noticed for the hundreth of times there just was a different quality about those girls back then. It's not that we don't have a bunch of great personalities nowadays, but in the 90ies those girls were so glamorous, so unique, they were at every event, had a bunch of scandalous relationships, they seemed to be living life faster than normal people. And they trasported this spirit into their modeling works. This kind of I've-seen-it-all-and-don't-give-a-damn thing. Girls nowadays seem to be more replaceable ... I don't know ... maybe it's just me

^You know, I think there are girls who could be like the Supers (having the looks and personality) - if they would be supported by the industry.

It just seems like every model nowadays only has his/her 3 or 4 seasons to shine and then nobody cares about them anymore.

Annoys me very much. (N)

And no way dear - I love Joan for Chanel.
