This message has of course been edited and shortened and is suitable for all audiences. Also, being a Doctor Who fan, I figured it would be fitting to go back in time and start the thread
. Anyway, as to the subject at hand, somewhat overdue of course. Early on I made a vow not to start any personal threads (directly that is, not to exclude the prodding of others to do so for others) as the one I wanted to make the most at the time was on behalf of a member who had so greatly exceeded the warning limits to be granted one. Despite that, two members later made their way onto my BZ bucket list in that regard and here one is. If you're looking for a combination of wide ranging interests, reason and an easy going personality, Mike* is as good as you'll find here and one of my top 10 favorite BZ members of all time (that includes even before the meteor caused the mass extinction of the Katsia D fans). He's also very helpful in his capacity as a staff member, making the seemingly inexhaustible task of editing posts seem more and more like an accomplishable goal. You can take all of that to the bank and surely with no asterisk next to any of it
.

Anyway, here you go, your own personal space to do whatever it is you think of to do with it. Also, I'm giving you your first emoticon. Sure it used to
be the football thread's emoticon, but no one's used it, so I figure it won't be missed
.
Congrats and enjoy
.

.

Wait wait. Did you really start this thread in May 2012 and revived it only now? Do you want to tell us Joe, that we had a thread for Michael for almost a year and no one posted anything since then?!?

Oh my, anyway, we should celebrate! Yay Michael, congrats for your thread! Be happy!

(I know, these are pretty lame but I tried to use some football gifs here and these were the only ones that I had and found quite suitable here
)

About time! Congrats dude :Dinah:

So this is Michael*'s emoticon: :Michael*:
Congratulations Michael, and thanks for the good staff work & not letting supreme power get to you head ![]()
I enjoyed our extensive conversations about 'The Dark Knight' and 'Superman'. ![]()

I have second thoughts that this is April Fool's Day.
I remember seeing or checking a thread for Michael before,it wasn't empty of posts as I think or remember,WEIRD thing really.
Anyway, odds are all over there,so not gonna confuse myself.
Congrats for one of best and one of my favourite members of BZ,so helpful, grateful , calm, and British[of few people here who always get me the spirit of their country].
Hug to you and to let you know I raley give hugs to males here, ![]()

Awesome Joe, your relaxing of the 'no personal threads' policy for me is greatly appreciated, and the novelty of having a thread started in the past is most welcome. MAMSA forever! ![]()

*Runs off to investigate Katsia D thread* ![]()

Well hello there topic...sounds like someone finally has a long overdue place to call his own, albeit the creation date has me a tad perplexed ![]()
Regardless, nice to see this place around, now if only I could think of what model to post here as a fitting tribute to the greatness that is this topic ![]()

And, really, I think the date thing just confirms what we've all been thinking for some time - Joe is a timelord. ![]()

You don't celebrate B-day?
I wouldn't say I'm the greatest lover of birthdays you'll ever meet (even if it is a bit like being 100 and wishing you were still 'only' 99 at this point
) but I always try to celebrate them in some way and of course, I appreciate every greeting I get. Where do you stand on birthdays, Mahi? Are you a fan? ![]()
On another note,I didn't know that Margaret Thatcher[previous British Primeminister ]was still alive until the news of her death came out today.
Do you know much about her,as being British? From when I was young I used to hear that many people owe respect to her ,even if they disagree with her,or have other politics, but they all respect her.
Hmmm, well, as a native north easterner, I'd have to say it's virtually impossible to speak positively about her from a political standpoint. She'll only ever be perceived here as the person who laid waste to the mining, shipbuilding and steel industries that were the lifeblood of the area at the time. But as with almost anyone in a position of such prominence, a lot would have probably depended on where you went and who you asked. She was a completely polarising figure - basically the heroine of 'the right' and the demon of 'the left' - authoritarian, ruthless, forthright and single-minded. Great if you agreed with what she did, your worst nightmare if not.
