(There's no links of the full album available on youtube anymore...)

^ I love that version!!
That one was actually taped a day like today in 1968.
On this day but in 1962 it was also recorded the single version of Love Me Do (with Ringo on the drums for the first time).

Joe Satriani on George Harrison:
QuoteThe most underrated guitarist in history?
“George Harrison, without a doubt. Just think about this, here’s a young kid at the start of a movement. Not someone who ever thought he’d be a virtuoso on the instrument, he was an all-round musician, and he was destined to write two of the most popular Beatles songs of all time, ‘Something’ and ‘Here Comes the Sun.’ His guitar playing just got better and better, right up to his untimely death…
“I want to shout this, I want to put this in capital letters—HE WAS ALWAYS, ALWAYS MUSICAL! Most people can get good physically on the guitar, it’s not really that hard, but to be musical? That’s the real trick. There are a thousand other guitar players that could play rings around George, but what have they played that you really keep in your heart?”

Paul, Ringo Starr and Ron Howard photographed at a promotional day at Abbey Road Studios on Wednesday 14th September on the eve of the cinematic release of the new Ron Howard documentary 'The Beatles: Eight Days A Week'. They will attend the premiere in London’s Leicester Square tonight with the film also opening worldwide.

^ Awesome to see them together!
I need to see the documentary; I've seen really good comments.

Taxman cover by the great Joe Bonamassa

50 years ago today The Beatles started working on this masterpiece
The second song of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band to start recording.

53 years ago today The Beatles started taking over the world

This is awesome!!

Paul McCartney's singing in the original was aimed at imitating Fats Domino's style.
So great that Fats Domino himself covered the song afterwards!
This is one of my favorite ones !

^ Yet another great example of McCartney's genious for melody!

Today it would be George Harrison's birthday
And another example of McCartney's talent !

Harrison had a lot of talent as well. Less known but just as good as the others.
