Thanks dude! ![]()

While I was on my travels, it occured to me that I've never posted in here before. Thought I'd change that. ![]()
Hervé, if I may say so, the new Nina set is a corker. ![]()

What's your favorite games of the year and favorite games of the past decade?
This year has been particularly interesting. Personally, I look forward to the next Deus Ex. which has been delayed to summer 2016.
Mine:
Metal Gear Solid 5: 4/5
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt and Hearts of Stone: Classic/5
Fallout 4: 4.5/5
Past Decade (will edit as I recall things):
Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite
Red Dead Redemption
The Last of Us
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt and Hearts of Stone
Fallout 3
Fallout 4
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Metal Gear Solid 3
Metal Gear Solid 4

This was an odd year in terms of my playing games.
I didn't play that many.
Of the ones I did play, the best one was released in 2014: "Dragon Age: Inquisition".

I still need to get that :-p I've been watching too much Fallout 4 recently. It would be the first bioware game for me.

Probably only get to playing that one next year, will be too busy to really dive into such a game until after the New Year.

SS, if I remember correctly, you mentioned how you didn't like Witcher 2. I checked it a couple of times and I just can't get into it. Maybe I have to try again later. Something about the setting (so dark and misty, smaller/tighter, and drab) that I just don't like. I can see the origins of Witcher 3 in it though- but it seems like the production values are significantly lower and it's an old game.
What's most glaring is how the dialogue is excessively long winded/boring and without getting to the point. The writing is much more humorous and sharp in 3.

Oh no, I liked the Witcher 2 up to a point.
Only I eventually found the gameplay too repetitive and never finished it.
I've yet to play the third game in the series.

You live

Heya Limer, what up?

Thanks for the opinion. I'm done viewing the primary/secondary quests for Witcher 3, and will maybe post some related media & that'll be it until the next and final expansion pack in Q1 2016.
Probably the main thing that can be improved in 3 is the fighting and horseback riding. I've noticed how the youtubers constantly use the Quen (shield) and spam the whirl move. Both exploits should have been downgraded to something that can only be used sparingly.

I'm currently over 65 hours into "Dragon Age: Inquisition".
Not sure when I will find the time to finish it.
After that, I probably will try "Fallout 4".
Possibly after that I will get to "The Witcher 3".

Oh you know things and stuff and stuff and things
I like to lurk around and see what mischievous things happen.
So same old same you
You?

Fallout 4 is a lot shorter. (Maybe 20 hours for story, 10 hours for random side quests- most of which look kind of boring TBH)
I checked Witcher 2's story (6 hours playing the background). Wow, it's boring as hell- a mass of medieval fantasy politics that's irrelevant to those (myself included) that never read the books. It nevertheless sets up the political context for Witcher 3.

Also, Bloodborne/The Old Hunters and Until Dawn are excellent.
