The purpose of his books isn't to teach: it's to spark discussions through controversy. So it's a bad idea to take anything he writes as fact, as that's not his purpose. Especially if it's from The Da Vinci Code.

^ That notice in the beginning of the book about everything being fact was the biggest piece of bullsh*t in literary history and Dan Brown knows it.

Here's the wikipedia page discussing the mistakes/lies in the book. The page is huuuuuge.

I've read Jack Ketchum's "The Girl Next Door" which was absolutely crappy and I finished "Atonement", which is really great until chapter 2. (So about one third of the book is really good)

I don't know what next to read, I have Stephen King's "The Stand" here, but I don't feel like reading it.
