^ I hear you and respect your points
I can only speak from my experience and the different cultures I have lived in. Unfortunately [American] society is not capable, whether consciously or not, of looking past racial and cultural differences. I don't expect you to agree or understand my points b/c we live in different countries, cultures, and we from are different racial background. For that reason, it is difficult for me to convey fully the extend of how cultural and racial tensions affects people in a diverse society.

Well, here is my point. He made a commend that was based on race alone. Good or bad, that was a racist comment, and there are no good racists. I am like that myself. I would even high five the guy if I was there. But that was still racist.
About the friend thing. They are friends, and they let it slide. I am russian and live in US, most of my friends are american. They joke around with me about being russian too. I am ok with that because I know they know me better than what they see on tv about people with my background. If someone I don't know approaches me and says something like "Oh, you guys get drunk and chase the bears" they will get a completely different response than my friends would.

It not uncommon for relatives to fall in love/marry each other b/c of similar background and values. There is also a compatibility factor

I understand. There are things that can be never fully explained or comprehended untill you really live in that society and experience the same things. Like when I´m talking about the gypsy problem we have in Slovakia (and actually the whole Europe) it´s hard to understand, because one has to really live here and experience all the troubles when one wants to fully understand the problem. Because, just like with everything else, there are always two sides of one coin.It will never be a perfect world, because people are just like that. They will put other people in boxes, and there will always be this "I´m better than you" complex. If it´s because of race or money... it´s like fighting a tidal wave, it always comes back in one way or another. There is so little respect in this world left towards anything - people or nature. I guess the selfish gene runs really strong through our veins.
I think the concept of perfect is flawed b/c it is subjective. One's person's perfection is another person's imperfection. Also if things were perfect it might mess up the current equilibrium more than we can imagine. That is not to say we should not try to strive to be better ourselves and take care of those around us b/c that's what keeps us going. You can only control your own actions & behaviors. For things you cannot control or change you have to find a way to accept and come to terms ![]()

That similarity in backgrounds and values is the same reason why I approved the proposal,I come from good/known family and like to have someone who has same social position. It's really uncommon for relatives to marry in my family but it happened and it wasn't basically out of being relatives but the attraction and some understanding came over,we also have different types of lives and family members got nothing and did nothing in letting this happpen,it just happened by only the 2 of us.
As for the love factor,I don't look at it alot in this so material, shocking, realistic world,I gave up the idea of real deep love long time ago, just some good looks and some good thinking from a man will do it for me.
Maybe you won't agree with me but that's it,just don't be depressed with what I said.
I think the concept of love is complex b/c the definition is not always concrete or obvious. Like most things in life it is subjective. Also, love is not always enough. They say all you need is love but just b/c you love someone does not mean you are right for each other or that things will work out. There are many factors and parts that contributes to the whole.
That is not to say there is no such thing as true love. It is the matter of how each person define, view and frame it ![]()

And that avatar. One just cannot NOT love it
I am sure there is more to love than just his avatar ![]()

So well saidFreedom is very relative as well, since the borders of your freedom ends where the freedom of other people starts.
On a lighter note, Lily has come back
Are you excited just I am, pinkie? Soo happy to see her again!
Hmmm...that was very insightful. Thanks. I am going to keep it in mind ![]()
I am very excited Lily is back. She looks radiant :wub2: Although the make-up she had for the VS VDay shoot was a bit tacky. Wished VS didn't hide her face under all that gook
I hope she practiced her walk while she was on hiatus. I adore her but runway is definitely not one of her strengths ![]()

Howdy to you
.

And it also has a sophisticated foreseeing quality - becasue that´s exactly what I plan to do this weekend, and exactly what I did the weekend before. Oh my, we Slovak people - such drunkers ![]()

Oh, yeah, her catwalk isn´t what would you call perfect at all... I hope she practiced!! She´s so lovely and funny, and her face looks the best with minimum makeup, and rather in darker tones that this weird look they gave her on the picture
I just can´t wait to see more pics of her ![]()

^ Personally I think VS should give her the FB one of these days b/c out of all of them she is the most eloquent and has a nature ease in front of the camera. Wishful thinking. I guess I should be happy she didn't get the bra this year b/c it is F-U-G-L-Y!
I kinda feel bad for Ale b/c she deserves much better than THAT. I can't believe I am saying this but I wish they gave it to Bubba. It totally goes w/ her

I don't follow this that closely, but would you say that the Fantasy Bra is Ale's parting gift? Just to squeeze some mileage out of her before they cut her loose.
I've always wondered: Why did Adriana, Ale, Lily, Doutzen, and several others allow themselves to get pregnant? Shouldn't there have been stipulations in their contracts that discouraged such an act?
The other non-VS affliated top models would not do such a thing so readily. Is it part of the image of VS Angels to be able to do something like that? hmmph..
