Women do eat but they try to limit themselves when others are watching b/c they don't want to be judged negatively I had a lot of leftover chocolates I preferred not to finish all on my own so I decided to share with my co-workers I was expecting the Kit-Kats to last at least a day or two since there weren't that many people on the floor that day. I was wrong

Yeah, spinoffs rarely do well I am hoping Huell, Skinny Pete and Wendy will be on the show b/c I want to know their back stories. I also want to know how Saul met Mike. Aaron Paul and BryCran have expressed interest in guest starring on the show

It has been brutally cold this past week but I have experienced worse The snowstorm wasn't too bad where I am. We only got 5 inches Can't wait for the weather to be warmer How's the weather where you are? Still warm & dry?

^ Yes, some women do limit their food intake when others are around I must admit I have been guilty of it as well It is a stereotype women crave chocolates when they are menstruating. I am sure some do but it is not true for all women I know it's not true for me b/c I crave it even when I am not having my period I think the alleged Chocolate Hoggers don't want others to know they enjoy sweets b/c it would make them feel like hypocrites considering they like to give the impression they are all healthy and shit (no pun intended )

5 inches is no bigger around here b/c we usually get more---like a foot or 2. Even if it is not snowing sometimes when it rains there's massive flooding I will wish the precipitation your way I have heard on the news how dry it has been on the west coast. Damn Global Warming! <_<

I listened to parts of The Ring of the Nibelung and Tristan & Isolde on YouTube. They were both quite long and I did not have the patience to listen to either entirely I like both but enjoyed Tristan & Isolde slightly more "Breaking of the tonal system," ehh? Interesting. Could you elaborate on what you mean?

I listened to parts of them too. They're too long    (I'm listening to Tristan and Isolde right now )

About the "breaking of the tonal system": The tonal system dominated the academic music from the Baroque period (1600) onwards, until the Romantic period (Late XIX Century). And it kind of dominates popular music today to some extent. To avoid extending this too much, the Tonal System and the Tonal Harmony that comes with it, works basically between tension and rest or resolution. The tension is represented specially by the dominant chord: the Vth grade (a G Major chord if we're in key of C major), while the resolution is specially represented by the root chord: the Ist grade (a C major chord in key of C). I hope I made myself somewhat clear with this, it's hard to explain it without the actual sound of it  . It's A LOT more to this, but that's basic part.

One more thing: each chord within the tonal system has a function, which is defined by what comes before and comes after that chord.

By the late XIX Century composers began to consider that the Tonal System was getting close to the exhaustion: almost everything that could have been don within it was already done. And Wagner was one of those pushing the barriers of the tonality. He did so by including several dissonances, delaying more and more the resolution, and sometimes not reaching it at all. (This of course was happening long before, but he pushed the limits even further). Until we come to Tristan and Isolde. In the introduction to this piece we can hear what is known as The Tristan Chord.

This:

....

The thing about this chord is that it kind of has no function in the Tonal System. It doesn't belong to the tonality, and it can't be explained within it. The tonal system was then apparently in crisis. By this time it was considered to be a exhausted system and here Wagner was working, apparently, out of it.

Out of this several "solutions" came to this crisis: some began to develop bitonality (two keys working at the same time), expanded tonality (more dissonances), etc. This was particularly followed by the French school. The German school on the other hand, wanted to take things were Wagner left them and through composers like Arnold Schoenberg they developed the Atonality.

So that's what I meant

How goes the winter so far? Still brutal and with snowstorms?

I'm currently in Santiago having 30ºC or more everyday

Sympathy for the Devil is my favorite song of them, I played it a lot live on acoustic form, so I thought it fun to record it

I'm glad you liked it!

Until a few years VH1 still played some music over here... That Metal Show was one of the last good programs left. I don't know if they still play it here.

Thanks for taking time to explaining it to me I think I have a basic idea. The YouTube video helped a lot. I could definitely see how it is applied in some popular music and even electronic music

It snowed lightly for a few hours yesterday but not anything alarming Although we have had more snow in the past, the temperatures has been brutal this year. Right it is -7ºC outside Fi3IvqH.gif Kinda make me miss Hong Kong although I cannot stand the humidity zSB6lAG.gif Between frigid temperatures and humidity, humidity is the lesser of two evils right now

Wish I was in Santiago...hahaha

I have so many Rolling Stones favorites like Paint It Black, Satisfaction, Sympathy For The Devil, Time Is on My Side, Get Off Of My Cloud, Mother's Little Helper and of course...

It is such a goofy MV but I cannot stop watching or listening to the song!   Maybe “if you start me up I'll never stop... never stop...” is some sorta subliminal message

Really sucks most of the content currently on MTV and VH1 are non-music related. Although I do like Mob Wives but I still miss the “good ol’ days”

^I wish clothing sizes were more consistent. Some sorta standard measurement system would be nice

Within the last decade the average size increased from 12 to 14; bra size: 34B to 36C; and shoe size: 7 to 8. With the bra size it is not just b/c of weight increase but also the popularity of breast augmentations

I don’t mind lightly padded bras b/c of my nipplege problem Give me an unlined bra I might as well go braless! Speaking of lightly lined bras, I love the Dream Angels IPEX. The padding's very thin but just enough to prevent nipplege. Sucks they discontinued it I do occasionally wear push-ups (mainly in the summer) but in general I prefer "everyday" bras. Most of my VS bras are from the Cotton Collection, BBV, Very Sexy, PINK and Dream Angels. I also own bras from H&M, Gap, Blush and random brands they have on RueLaLa.

VS has so many push-up bra collections I can’t tell which is which or the functional differences among them I know the Very Sexy adds 1 cup size and Bombshell adds 2. I don’t have many Bombshell bras b/c it take up A LOT of space in my bra draws and it makes me look fatter

5 inches isn’t much at all. Better than the 2 ft we usually get. I still prefer no snow Yeah, it has been a brutal winter for the Mid-West. Have you lost power or had issues with your water? BTW, have you lived in Michigan all your life?

I wish they were too...I hate how one size pants fits me in one brand, but not the next etc

Baha well bigger boobs...bigger problems...

Are you trying to say your nipples let you know when its cold? And Dream angels IPEX? Why must things be gone when I want them I prefer everyday bras too, I mean I have some cute ones, but they're not all bejewled, etc. Its funny though how a cute bra and panties under your clothes kinda boasts your confidence It at least does to me, even though nobody can see

And yeah I don't get the difference either. Alot of padding, and a little more of a lot of padding

You guys are getting it now though aren't you? WE just had legit 5 days of NONSTOP snow and windchills bellow 0...so many crashes, police were ticketing people who were out driving after they declared several highways and streets no drive zones  I havent' lost power or anything, but I know people who have had their pipes freeze, etc.

And yes I have Have you lived in Boston your whole life?

You're welcome

Well popular music has indeed inherited the use of more complex harmonies, so it's not too hard to find those sonorities in today's popular music (and by this I mean Pop, Rock, Electronic, Jazz, etc). Jazz music (from the Bebop in the 40's onwards) takes a lot of the harmonic concepts from the Impressionism (composers like Debussy, Ravel), which is one of the visions that came out from the crisis of the Tonal System.

Oh, it's REALLY cold then. But from what I've seen these past weeks it's not that bad as before at least.

And humidity is the worst thing, specially combined with heat...

Oh,you're from Hong Kong?

Start me Up is a great song! And as I see it there's indeed quite some not-so-subliminal messages in that song

Paint it Black and Satisfaction are among my favorites too.

Did you know that the first hit of the Rolling Stones was a Beatles' song?

I don't even see those channels anymore

I think in some parts of the country it is still pretty bad but I haven’t really paid attention It should warm up slightly around here next week though

I don’t like the heat but I dislike humidity even more. It feels feel gross and drains your energy :yuckky:

No, but my parents are from there and I lived there for a few years when I was a child Also, I used to spend my summers there but that hasn’t happen in a long time. Mainly b/c of school, work or financial reasons

Really? No I didn’t. Which song was it?

If you think about it, VS does a lot of false advertising. Most of their Angels are busty so obviously they would have massive cleavage in a push-up bra They also double stuff their bras with silicone inserts during shoots and photoshop the images afterwards. I guess that is why I am ok with Karlie because she isn’t busty. At least when she wears a push-up bra it better displays how well the bra works

It snowed a little last weekend but nothing major. Temperatures still brutal thought. I have experienced frozen pipes before. Not fun at all!

I must say I never fully understood that mentality. Yes I can understand having proper etiquette and manners while eating around others but to eat less for the sake of...and that's the thing here, I come up at a blank? We need to eat to operate so why the fuss? Ahaha, yes indeed it is I merely said that for a chuckle But a good excuse to do so no? Speaking of chocolate do you have a favorite brand and type?

Oh my 2 feet, time to build a snow man? And thx The forecast shows a possible chance of rain tonight into tomorrow and again on Monday but such predictions end up dissolving before they get here It's looking much better this time around due to the jet stream dipping further south and we can now feel a good cool down which is a nice bit of relief. LOL, Global Warming is such a politicized term it makes me laugh. There is no such term for me. The planet is an every changing weather dynamic and most tend to forget or not know at all from scientific data we've collected that warmer periods and cooler ones, not to mention higher PPM of carbon has existed than what we've see today. Meh, I guess anything to make a political stand point and buck eh? For me it's all about sustainability The above is a perfect example on why ALL AMERICAN need to put more emphasis into the sciences such as chemistry and physics for a better understand of how the world around us works.

Ah sweet! This show looks like it's shaping up quite nicely thus far

I think the whole eating thing is more of self-consciousness issue. It goes hand-in-hand with most women thinking they are fat or fear of becoming fat so they are more cautious when eating in public. There is an anxiety of being perceived as an over-eater. It is complicated and doesn’t always make sense. Honestly I highly doubt others are that aware of how much another person eats b/c most people are focused on themselves. However the concerns and worries are still there when  eating

I am pretty picky with chocolates I like milk chocolates and truffles, and chocolates with hazelnuts, pralines, or almonds Not a fan of dark chocolates, white chocolates, caramel, anything that is citrusy or with berries Some of my favorite brands are Godiva, Perugina, and the company that makes chocolates for Trader Joe’s. Not a fan of Lindt and Dove. They taste too rich for my liking. What are your chocolate preferences?

By the time I am done shoveling I am too tired to build a snowman Bg7Nlwn.gifUjNQHz5.jpg

I wish there was more emphasis on science as well but our government is pretty messed up so I don’t think that would happen anytime soon Too many personal agendas and game play. Also, many of right-wingers are religious nutcases who are science skeptics

I love shopping too! What are some of your favorite stores?

The winter has been pretty brutal so far but we have had worse. I think it has been more severe for other parts of the country. So far there hasn't been a power outage where I live so I am glad. We only got 5 inches the last snowstorm which isn't too bad. I can't wait for the weather to be warmer though

That's good to hear, some cities in Europe as parts of Serbia are in emergency state now because of the bad weather.

As I live by the Mediterranean,we usually have warm weather even amidst winter.

My favourite stores/brands include a lot and generally I check most of them,I don't limit my buys to specific stores,I turst most of the European and some American brands,,I like D&G,Mango,Zara,H&M for cardigans and casual dresses and skirts ,Michael Kors for pants,Vero Moda for jumpers,I like BC BG max Azria,Chanel for some bags ,who doesn't like Chanel bags,  and many others, besides some local stores that mostly exist in big malls,I ike malls a lot..

Well, that all goes with this sense of "perfection" a women must attain image wise, you know, the perfect frame, eyes, legs, chest, ass and a cook At the end of the day I will admit this, women DEFINITELY have it harder in keeping that outer image presentable when going out and about. So the whole eating experience I can understand due to that but I still say stuff your face when your hungry and I will judge you less then if you anemically pick and prod a bowl of lettuce

Oh Pinky that chocolate line-up you just mentioned is right up my alley too! But a small caveat on that, I do like dark chocolate here And amen on that hun, I am not a fan of fruit dipped in chocolate other then banana. I can't even do strawberries anymore :yuckky:  And as for as my fav brands, I do like Godiva here too, Toblerone and Ghirardelli come to mind right off the bat Oh, I almost forgot Ferrero Rocher too, I'm a sucker for those little spheres of delicious heaven

I need to get you a snow blower then so you can build that snowman or women :brows:

I have no party affiliation here but honestly we need to disband THE ENTIRE republican partly if this country is ever going to make a huge stride in science with-in public school and our society as a whole. Until then I don't see things changing, but that doesn't mean democrats are in the clear either

LOL and hun have you ever had Wahlburgers before? We were watching the reality show today and since you are near that general area I kinda wonder if you have tried one of those bad boys yet?

And yes! Its amazing what great panties and a bra can do. Instant sexy feelin

Oh yes absolutly they do! And same for hair care companies, and every other thing out there But yeah its nice they are not doing too much to increase karlies bust Which there is a sector out there with no clevage, etc...

I hope I never have to experiance frozen pipes I have had my car door and my car keywhole FREEZE shut

lol Jimmy Fallon and Rachael Dratch come to mind with their "Boston Couple" skit  I think people like saying they are from there so people can further think you have some sort of crazy personality, or some kinda a badass etc So why did you spend a large part of your childhood in Hong Kong? Were your parents in the military, or were you there voluntarily? Or are you and your family originally from there?

At least it hasn't appeared in the news over here, so I guess it has to be less awful by now

Well, I'm back in my city and guess what... We're having heat + humidity: it's been raining the whole day with over 20ºC temperatures. And it looks like it will be that way the whole week.

Oh I see. Some good memories I guess

Many years since the last time you were there?

The song is I Wanna be your Man. Lennon and McCartney actually gave the song to them when they were around for a Stones' rehearsal.

This is the original:

youtube.com/watch?v=-DNf1j5RYJI

And The Rolling Stones version

youtube.com/watch?v=DJCkbbMnEPg

I really like the song, both versions. But apparently Lennon wasn't really fond of it, according to a 1980 interview:

It was a throwaway. The only two versions of the song were Ringo and the Rolling Stones. That shows how much importance we put on it: We weren't going to give them anything great, right?

The last time I was there was more than 10 years ago. It’s been awhile Have you ever traveled outside of South America?

I enjoyed both versions but like the Stone’s version slightly better

“We weren't going to give them anything great, right?”
