MLA (Josh) asked me to ask the admins, can he be a mod?

He a great contributor and friendly guy, so what do you all say?

I'm going to have to say no. I don't think that Josh has a clear understanding of the rules, even the simple ones (this I've gathered from direct personal experience with him). He also doesn't strike me as the best of decision makers and seems almost too nice to enforce the rules. Unfortunately being a good contributer and a friendly guy, while good qualities in and of themselves, do not alone make a good moderator.

He asked me too. I understand your opinion about his qualifications, OS, but I think he would rise to the occasion. He excels at whatever he does, this I have seen about him. I think he can be made to understand our procedures very quickly and he is ALWAYS here, and cares about the forum (which is in my opinion, the primary qualification). Now, do we NEED another mod? That's another issue that I would ask for other opinions on.

I personally do not think we need another mod.

Josh asked me can he be mod, and I told him I don't know b/c it is an admin. decision, so I posted the request here for the admins to discuss

well....i believe that we offered the modship to him when we were looking for new moderators and at the time i think his response was that he didnt have enough time.....and i dont feel the need for a new mod so maybe we can make him our first choice once we feel the need for a new mod???....i dunno wat do u guys think about that

He excels at whatever he does? Depends on how this is defined I guess but I disagree based on the fact that he often misunderstands some of the most basic things that people try to explain to him. This isn't a one time problem. It happens a LOT. And I can envision it happening in here. I am trying to say this in the nicest way possible so that I don't come off like a complete bitch. He's a nice guy, don't get me wrong, and he does care about the forum, but I don't think he's qualified at all.

I also don't think we need another mod. I would be willing to reconsider Josh at another time when we do need another mod, but like honestly, I doubt my opinion is going to change unless I see his comprehension of basic principles improve.

Luckily for everyone here, my opinion isn't the only one that matters, haha.

I enabled a really fancy random letter generator when you sign up which a computer couldnt read (unlike our old one). And I think it has helped but mabye you mods are getting to the trash before I see it

Don't you hate getting Report PMs from newbies asking "Are there anymore pictures of [insert name of model]?" No, you annoying dumbass!!! <_< Or ones like "I love [insert name of model]!!!"
