Question about that though...I just went ahead and changed FLEA's name and I noticed that I only had to change the Log In Username. Before I would have to change both the login and the display name...has the display name feature been disabled with the new IPB?

actually its kinda weird now

now u have log into the acp

and at the enterance screen

type in the users name and search for them

then hit the little drop down next to their name and change their display from there

yes I changed it, having 2 separate names to manage was a pain in the ass cuz new people were sending emails saying I cant log in and it was cuz they had entered a diffrent username and login name and they were using the wrong one. So i made it go back into 'normal' mode where people only get 1 name. I think it reduces the headaches all around, not to mention people could change there display name at will making it hard to keep track of people.

Actually I'm really glad you did that. I found the different display and login names a pain in the ass as well, especially when I went to ban people. I would do a search for the log in name only to realize that I was actually supposed to be searching for the display name b/c the login was something different. I also noticed that many (though by no means all) people who would use different display and log in names were trolls / had multiple accounts / etc. It's like they were trying to hide themselves <_< so thanks for changing it to something more manageable
