The long debate about models, lol. But I have to agree about one thing, that models like Elsa sell the brand better to the the Asian crowd. Someone like Adriana would have less influence in the Asian market because her features are much more sultry and bombshell while Elsa attracts the eyes of Asian viewers, because her features are much more exotic, soft yet still sufficient enough to maintain a sexy vibe. Even Alessandra and Josephine to that extent.

Alessandra and Adriana are the best two comparisons you have. Adriana is the bombshell, and Alessandra is your timeless beauty. Even on stage, Adriana had always have more presence than Alessandra. But Alessandra always stood out more as the feminine, gorgeous one. Not saying either one is unattractive, it's just that a VS model with softer features yet capable of maintaining a sexy vibe will capture the attention of Asians much so than the typical bombshells you'd consider is the standards in the Western world.

Adriana, Stella, Martha, Lily and maybe, Lais will not capture the eye of Asians. Someone like Taylor will be a massive hit with the Asian crowd tho.

I guess it just falls down to the perception of beauty in Asian culture. There are times where I like Adriana, because she can really capture your attention, but it doesn't mean she's always the best standard of what VS can present. Even if she had the largest fanbase, Adriana is still very situational beauty. And the same is for Candice. Each model has her own personal attraction. But at the end of the day, the Western and Asian crowd have very different standards of beauty.

720p looks soft on everything except the iphone

If you use a pc, tv or ipad 1080p or 1440p is ideal for you

05 was the best show imo. It had everything. 03 was also very nice but 05 was more aesthetically pleasing ^^ and more variety. 06 it started leaving the sexy, dirty vibe

I think most people on here are waiting hopefully for VS to return to what it used to be.

In the latest shows, 2014 was probably the best, segment with Ed Sheeran was fucking garbage though.

I'm sure its already been talked about but I don't feel like looking back..

How were the show ratings this year? Better than last year?

2010 was the last great show; show had good energy, after that it becomes boring with borings songs, low energy and repetative.

6.65 million this year, 6.60 last year so better but barely

2012 was the last great show to me. But I have to say that I'm younger than most people here and I started getting into VS in 2010. So I never got attached to "the golden era", though I do have favorites of this time.

Yep true, often people tend to like 'things' the most that are attached in the time they are the youngest. That is why for instance parents and grandparents often say that everything in their time was better (for instance, society was better without internet or without cars).

Same goes for the fashion show i think, although I can very objectively say the show is not that good at the moment.  

They should hire Miranda for the next show (I can dream...)

2008. I agree that 2010 and 2012 were good shows, but not great.

My opinion is I never like 1 show as a whole, perhaps with exception of 2008. My dream if they could blend all the good elements or characteristics of several shows into 1. For instance, I absolutely loved the Parisian segment and the Diamonds/Rihanna/French castle segment in 2012 but hated the rest. I also love how in the later show they use the stage more then they ever have and really can make it more theatrically. But I liked the format of the earliers shows in the sense that it was more a fashion show and that it had great energy, good remixes and the fact it was not a concert show where the singer is most relevant like it is now.

Even though it was straight out of the City of Light for the first time and filled with loads of Lady Gaga, the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (2.1/7) just could not pack on the ratings weight last night. In fact, the lingerie catwalk show hit a new low among adults 18-49.

Victoria’s dirty secret is that the ratings are down 9% in the key demo from 2015’s previous low. Viewershipwise, this year’s VSFS had 6.65 million eyeballs, basically the same as the 6.6 million who watched last year.
